Cinnamon Roll Grilled Peach Sundaes
Ingredients
- 1 (17.5 oz) package refrigerated cinnamon rolls (5-count)
- Cooking spray
- 3-4 ripe peaches
- Vegetable or olive oil, for brushing
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- ½ cup toasted chopped pecans
- Caramel sauce
Directions
- Place an oiled griddle on grill top and preheat to medium high. (Or preheat a flat griddle on stovetop)
- Open cinnamon rolls and arrange on griddle. Spray a grill press or heavy spatula with cooking spray and smash each cinnamon roll. (Use a spatula to peel cinnamon rolls from grill press if they stick.)
- Grill each side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Meanwhile halve and pit peaches and lightly brush with oil.
- Place peaches cut side down on the grill and cook until sear marks appear, about 3 minutes. Flip and grill the other side for an additional 3 minutes.
- Remove from grill, cool until touchable and slice.
- Place a cinnamon roll on each plate and top with a scoop of ice cream and peach slices.
- Drizzle with frosting from the cinnamon roll pack followed by caramel syrup. Sprinkle with pecans.
- Serves 5 large portions or 10 smaller portions.
