So easy and so cheesy! You can grill these calzones directly on the grill or heat up a pizza stone in the oven or grill. Mix up your toppings to make them your own.
Grilled Calzones
Ingredients
- Dough for 1 pizza crust, store-bought or made from scratch
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni
- ½ cup sliced black olives
- ½ cup chopped green pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
Directions
- Preheat grill to high.
- Roll out dough or use fingers to push out into a square and cut into four smaller squares.
- Spread 2 Tbsp. marinara on one corner of each square, add toppings and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
- Fold the dough over the top and pinch the edges together to seal.
- Repeat with remaining dough and toppings.
- Place calzones on hot grill, then reduce heat to medium high.
- Grill flipping occasionally, until crust is browned and crisp.
- Serve with remaining marinara for dipping.
