Wisconsin Cheeseburger Stew
3 pounds lean ground beef, crumbled
2 teaspoons salt
1 1 /2 teaspoons black pepper
3 onions, chopped
3 (26-ounce) cans tomato soup
3 quarts water
3 cups dried macaroni
2 (15 ounce) jars Cheez Whiz
In the bottom of a large heavy pot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt and black pepper. When the meat is almost cooked through add the chopped onion and continue to cook for 3-4 more minutes until translucent. Drain the excess fat.
Add the tomato soup, water and dried macaroni. Continue cooking for 10-14 more minutes until the macaroni is soft. Stir in Cheez Whiz and serve with sliced French bread.
