May Events in Western NC

Area Events in Asheville and Beyond

May is when Western North Carolina hits its stride. Stay just outside Asheville at Asheville West KOA, with easy access to Buncombe County, plus quick drives to Haywood County towns like Waynesville and Maggie Valley, and the scenic mountain communities of Madison County and Jackson County.

Camper Tip: May brings warmer temps and peak greenery. May is also a sweet time of year to visit as it’s less busy than peak summer season, but you can still enjoy all of what the mountains have to offer. May is probably the best season for waterfall hunting!
