September Events in Western NC

Area Events in Asheville and Beyond

September is one of the best times to explore Western North Carolina. The weather starts to cool, apple season is in full swing, and the region’s fall festivals begin before peak leaf season crowds arrive. It is also a wonderful month for farm tours and agriculture-focused events, including the NC Mountain State Fair, one of the best celebrations of Western NC farming, food, crafts, music, and mountain culture.
