Positives: Bathrooms were clean. Office was efficient and helpful. Negatives: WiFi was not consistent at site. Hook-ups were located at the front of a back in site, difficult to place camper in that scenario. Site was mediocre - small, no privacy.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

not sure why you said the site was small, it is 35 feet wide by 75 feet deep. Sorry about the electric placement. That is on the honey do list to change. That is how they built the park and we are fixing those quirky things ASAP.

Distinct sewer smell was unpleasant! Campers so close together not ideal. I could smell marijuana as well.

Not really what I would expect from a KOA. We only stay 1 night by plan, so we weren't there that long.

Loved it! Great hospitality & facilities. Enjoyed the pool & jump pad & we are two grown-ups traveling without kids!

The hosts are responsive and nice, but the crowded sites (lots of run-down seasonal sites, literally on top of one another) give the campground a bad, low-class vibe. Some of the turns are difficult for large RVs, especially when people park their cars near very close to the roads, which seemed to be common practice.

I rented two campers for a week-one an older (worn) fifth wheel with a roomy layout but no linens, dishcloths or towels included. The other was a large newer park model with linens and some towels and for dish clothes included. We spent more time at the newer one as the tanks were full in the older camper and smelled more. But honestly, we had great week regardless of minor issues. I recommend!

Excellent owners, willing to go the extra mile to help guests with requests. Nice, quiet, family oriented campground with mix of shaded and full sunlight sites. Campground was full, but didn't seem overly crowded at the pool, playground or store.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home. Loved the bingo nights it was so much fun. I would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

Would be happy to stay there any time. Neat, clean well maintained facility with an accommodating, helpful staff. Reasonable driving distance to Acadia.

Always enjoy this camp ground. For some reason the site we booked(which we were excited about) the changed it. Was a little upset. Would of liked to have known prior to the long drive there, or given the choice to pick another one. Approx 3.5 hours. The site that they gave us was okay but we had our hearts set on that site. The pizza was good the ice cream delicious didn’t use the pool or the showers. Used the honeypot service which was good. Only complaint is 1a route being one lane and difficult to turn across the constant traffic but that is not Koa fault.

I loved the deluxe cabin. It was great. However, I would suggest adding some shelves in both bedrooms for additional storage.

A very nice campground with all the amenities. Staff were fantastic the entire stay from the pizza at our check-in to entertaining the kids with games and activities.

For an overnight stay this campground was just okay. We thought $42/night for W&E 30A on a grass/dirt surface with no paved area even under the picnic table was pretty hefty a price to pay. In addition, this campground seemed to have a majority of seasonal campers set up. On the positive, the owners were quite friendly and welcoming. That always helps.

The pool is great, the tent sites are the best sites of all the Camp Ground. Workers are really kind. The price was really affordable. I'm from the province of Quebec and just discover this summer that there is alot of outside show at the Darling Waterfront à Bangor and I will at your KOA if I need to again anytime! Danny Q

Chris was such a help to us when my husband had to go to the emergency room. He offered to pick me up in the middle of the night if I needed a ride back to the campground.

Nice site but rv next to me played 70's radio all day and night. Couldn't sleep. I don't think anyone was even home. Heard Van Halen play Jamie's Cryin' every 2 hours. What about quiet hours? Good lobster roll and they delivered a picnic table when I asked. Apparently mine was hijacked by other campers.

The customer that played his radio apologized to me, it was a clock radio that turned on while he was away. We wish you would have told us when you were there and we could have handled it straight away. once we knew about it, it was turned off immediately. we can't fix an issue if e do not know about it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Campground was typical of KOAs, RV sites tightly packed in. We had a cabin/cottage for a one night emergency stay as our RV had to go on the shop. While the cabin was nicely appointed and comfortable (except for the couch, which was extremely uncomfortabl), $154 seemed an outrageous amount to pay. As the snack shop serves breakfast, they should be open by 7 am.

I never understand people that complain about price. Especially since we have a two day minimum and we let you stay one day. You were told the amount in advance and paid it. You could have stayed at the hotel that weekend for $200.00 a night.

friendly staff. Clean bath houses. Just wish the dog park was a little more weed whacked along with the sites. With that said this place is awesome !!!

Wonderful campground and staff. Everyone did their absolute best to make is happy and comfortable. I would have given the fifth star if we'd had full service, instead of only water and electric. We were there only four days so it wasn't too bad, but like many we prefer to use our camper's shower. We had a wonderful visit anyone. Thanks!

Enjoyed the nature walk and the mature trees that shaded us. The lack of WiFi connection was a bit annoying, but all in all a good stay.

I've booked next year the cabin was great I'm renting a camper next year great staff nice people just the smell of the septic sometimes

Great stay! Lots for kids. Only minus was we were at site 50 and when cars drove by their headlights shone in our tent trailer.

I love this campground!! They do so much stuff here to make your stay so enjoyable for children and adults. Everything is clean and the staff friendly. Can't wait for my next visit!
