Chris was wonderful. Helpful and so very nice! They make fresh pizza hand thrown, yummy ice cream and cute items in their store. Clean well kept grounds, large spaces and some sites have a porch! Highly recommend check it out !!

Overall I'd rate this a very good campground. Really nice grounds, lots of trees, despite being right off a busy road it feels like you are miles away. Campground store is well stocked, nice clean bathrooms, a community building, pleasant walking trails etc and the grounds were very clean and generally well maintained. Owner was quite friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

Too short, wished we could have stayed longer to really enjoy the site. Staff awesome, friendly, cheerful and helpful. This would be my ideal campground for a long term stay. Facilities, excellent.

Site was a bit tight for a big RV. Services were good, office had lots of amenities. The Wifi was outstanding!!

Stayed five nights in a fifth wheel while traveling the area. Second stay. Campground is very pretty with lots of trees. Grounds are very clean and well kept. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Campground is quiet and has no road noise. Will stay here again when we are in the area.

They were very good to deal with and gave us excellent advice about going into Canada! I would tell anyone I know to stop at this campground!!!!!!!

Very friendly, great location less than 45 minutes to Acadia. Good level spot. Good internet. Cable tv did not work, may have been due to recent conversion to digital signal from cable company.

One of the best campgrounds ever. Great sites! Home made lobster rolls. Best picnic tables and chair set on our site.

Was placed in "pull thru" site. Got in OK, but the site was narrow and bracketed by two trees that severely limited the turn out. that afternoon, another unit pulled in two sites over and hit a svc building because of the narrowness. Lost a lot of sleep worrying about getting out. We decided to back out (not a good skill for me), and only with the aid of the next unit did we get out safely.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

you were pulling a 28 foot travel trailer, and were on a 60' pull thru site. Note sure where the difficulty was in pulling out of it with such a small trailer. one tree was a good ten feet back from the end of the site.

We have been on the road since June 24 2018 and this was the highest priced campground at which we have stayed. The picture on the website was a huge misrepresentation of the actual site. Golf carts flew around the campground way over the posted speed limit.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

think you have the wrong campground. Only three seasonals have golf carts and they are elderly people. We do not let anyone else have them and we don't have any. It amazes me that you think the price was high. When you make a reservation you pay for 1 night as a deposit. Why at that time did you not look elsewhere for a cheaper campground? you stayed for a week and you never told us of a concern.

We had a good time and the music on Saturday night was even better. Would recommend this KOA to anyone. Thanks again for a good time.

Chris the owner operator was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable Of the area. The sites were large, landscaped and the preferred Sites had pavers, furniture and BBQ’s. I would stay there again. The “only” negative” was the sites along the highway were a bit Noisy with traffic.

We stayed here for a month and Chris and his staff were very accommodating and many times going above and beyond. We appreciated it! Great activities and playground facilities for the kids. We will definitely stay here again!

This was our third stay at this campground and we’ve enjoyed it each time. The staff is friendly, they have great hiking trails, the overall facility is clean and well maintained. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Just a beautiful Oasis at the end of our day! Very peaceful, quiet and beautiful and clean! A handmade, hand tossed extremely delicious pizza topped off and exceeded our expectations ( it was not the frozen KOA ones we had had before). It was indeed the best pizza we had ever had...A fine Italian Restaurant quality. Our THANKS to Chris for providing this wonderful experience and memory.

Nice park but very unlevel. Needs work on the sites very friendly park

I think you have the wrong park. Our sites are level. Here is what some one wrote 5 days earlier about the same site "Well-appointed facility with all amenities kept very clean. Kitchen on site will deliver to your campsite. A lot of seasonal residents with decks, etc. , but our site was level and long with a nice grassy area to sit in. A beautiful stone fire pit and picnic table..."

Just an overnighter. Spot was level and utilities fine. Pull through was easy in and out.

Another great visit to the Bangor/Holden KOA, even though the campground was very full, it was not overly busy, noisy or crowded. Very helpful staff, clean facilities and everything we needed on-site.

It’s a nice campground, they do a good job. I suggest they upgrade their washers and dryers. They aren’t efficient and probably use too much energy. They do have a good cafe menu and great ice cream!

We love KOAs, but this KOA was disappointing as we paid full price for a pull-thru, but only had access to 2/3 of a site due to sharing a grassy area. See pictures on google reviews for a better description. When we asked what solutions they recommend, they would not even look us in the eye. It may have been a busy weekend, however, the pull thru just down from us was used for 2 one-nighters.
