I had a great first stay at this campground. I definitely look forward to staying again in the future. I would recommend people to visit this place. Very friendly staff and the place was very clean.

Loved the campground but the rv beside us had 5 dogs. Yes 5. Lots of barking and the scent of dog crap filled the air. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

I would like to start out by saying “Chris you are awesome”. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. We talked to Chris about the area and he was so helpful. Very knowledgeable about everything in the area. Every question we asked him he had an answer to and it was accurate. The camp ground was clean and very well maintained. Definitely will be coming back. They went above and beyond!

Chris was very helpful and very easy to talk to. Got a few good laughs, and he was very helpful in getting us set up with our new motor home.

As first time campers I wasn’t sure what to expect but all my expectations were met and then some. Everything was very clean, everyone we met was incredibly nice, plenty of kids activities.( A basketball court would be nice for teenage boys, they were kinda bored) the campsites were kinda squished in but our neighbors were friendly and quiet.Store was great.Kids loved mining! Good pizza! Loved

Second time staying at this KOA. Overall, pleased with our stay. Would recommend more site options with the paved patio sites. Stayed at a paved patio site our first time at KOA in Bangor and preferred that site to the site we stayed at this time. We did try to get a paved patio site this time but since these sites are very limited, they were already reserved.

The owner of the Koa is very helpful and friendly. Have already recommended this campground to a cousin. This is the second year we have stayed at this Koa. And if we go to Maine again will stay there again.

Your campground is very quiet, and the restrooms are kept very clean!! The staff is very friendly and helpful and they provided the guest with a very fun Halloween weekend!! Thank you!!

We stayed for one night. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. The facilities were clean and the grounds were well kept.

it was a very nice place to stay with a lot of things to go. My only issue was with the campers across the road from us. They used bad language and stayed up till after midnight drinking and hollering. Did not get any sleep either night. It would be nice to have someone drive around and remind people to quiet down after 10 or 11 at night.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry that your neighbors stayed up late and made noise. We wish you would have given us a call so we could have rectified the problem. When checking in, we always tell you to call us anytime if you need anything.

KOA was clean and well maintained. We stayed for a week and it would have been nicer if site was father back away from road noise.

We came for a baseball tournament and stayed there with most of the team. While we prefer backwoods camping with tents, we found our stay here to be very favorable. Specifically, the staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The facilities were very clean and well kept. This was a quality camping area that I would return to. Thanks for the care that you put into your facility.

A well run campground with sites maximized given space available. Good amenities and a very good staff of people. It was high tourist season in Downeast/Acadia region, but camping 40 mi from Bar Harbor worked out fine as the route from Holden to the island was easy to drive.

Started going there last year, will it continue to go there each year. The owners are exceptionally Pleasant and very helpful. Excellent pizza. Enjoy staying at the facility. Only Improvement would be the pool. Lots of loose brick.

Had a very nice camp site. The owners are the nicest and most helpful host we have had all summer while camping. This was our second stay here and we will be returning in September.

No problems on our site, but the owners were not friendly at all, and I was there when the owners kicked out the Marines riders that showed up after a memorial ride for a fellow rider who had passed away and it's absolutely despicable and I will never go there again nor will I recommend to anyone.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You are right we are not friendly when over 15 motorcycles blow by our entrance stop sign and do not register. When they decide to have a party at one site with over 50 people. We needed to have the police come in to restore order and they threatened us. Not the way Marines should act!!!

We enjoyed the pool, Holden A Kone, and Bingo while we were there. Bingo is not for faint of heart. Very fast paced and multiple games require different cards that cost different prices. It was fun but took some time to adjust from other camp bingos. This is a casual family campground.

We ABSOLUTELY love staying at the KOA in Holden Maine. The owners are wonderful folks who are very friendly and keep the campground imbecility clean and safe. This was our second year camping there and we will def6be back.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We especially enjoyed the pizza the owner Chris made for us. Chris was a huge help to us when we ran into some issues with our RV. The campgrounds were clean the people were friendly and pleasant. Every time I go to Bangor I will be staying at this campground.
