Really should make it clear that they have a freight train coming thru a couple times each night...before you walk in the door. Even then they don't mention it, unless you notice the sign behind the desk. BUT...they do offer free earplugs! Haha! We'll try to avoid in the future. Clean park, tho...with lots of stuff for the kids.

Big Timber KOA is one of my favorite campgrounds. Easy to find from I-90. I like the wide grassy sites. I get the same one every time I travel through. Some are concerned about the railroad noise, but it is a friendly sound to me. Plus had the air conditioner running in the camper.

The help was friendly, and their laundry facilities were in good working order. Unfortunately, while they're very apologetic about the train and freeway noise, the location is poorly suited for a good night's sleep unless you're accustomed to this type of on going noise. We didn't know about the noise until we arrived and probably would've done something different if we hadn't arrived so late.

For the most part it was great. Two exceptions: 1) Very close to the highway, making it quite noisy. 2) Very close to train tracks and train crossing. Trains went by approx. hourly and blew whistle at crossing. Quite loud. I realize that there is nothing KOA can do about that.

Campground was fine but the lady at the check in counter was just not very welcoming. Completely surprised by her lack of hospitality.

Park was clean, but proximity to loud train and freeway was unfortunate. (Park host got angry with me for picking raspberries right after other camp host gave us permission to do so. Apparently you can’t put them in a small bowl) he chided me like a 5 year old.

It was a nice campground but the highway and trains were extremely loud. Didn’t get much sleep.

The park grounds are very nice. How ever there were things that bothered me. I can deal with the train noise during the day, but it's a bit much at night. One of the reasons we chose was the add on the Koa website said that there was a adult only hot tub on site. We found that to be untrue. What upset me was most that the WIFI was an extra charge,

We loved our stay at Big Timber KOA! We enjoyed our quiet cabin & our children loved the pool & jumping pillow! Plus the staff was more than helpful! We will definitely be back.

Reasonably priced! Great play area for kids. The pool is wonderful and is surrounded by yummy raspberry bushes! They have the most helpful and friendly staff. Truly wonderful place! Grounds are well kept and the fenced in pet area was great for our fur babies. The train and traffic on the interstate are out of the owners control and shouldn't be rated on such, but it also isn't that bad. 10/10!

2nd time I've stayed here. Had campsite w/water & electricity. Thought it was a bit pricey but may be because it's close to the entrance to the Beartooth and Yellowstone Park. Still much cheaper than staying in a motel in Big Timber. All in all it's a great KOA.

This is not your typical KOA gravel pit. Beautiful setting if you like sleeping amongst the trees. Most are pull through sites. Easy in/out.

Easy to find with I-90 signs. Lady who checked us in was very nice, AND told us about the TRAINS and had ear plugs that might help. We found on this trip across 4 states that the campgrounds close to I-90 are on VERY BUSY train tracks.... Otherwise it was a good night and enjoyed the raspberries.

Road noise all night....but what was worse was the train noise every 30 to 45 min and the train honking every time it went buy all night long can't recommend this camp ground to friends only to people I do not like

This is an expensive campground for not being near any attractions. It really close to the freeway and a train track. So if you run your air conditioning to drum out the noise you should be okay.

Very expensive for the stay. Just be aware if you stay there, the freeway and train noise is very loud. The sites are level and there is a small dog park which was alright.

staff is friendly bathrooms were clean, but the site was small and tight due to stumps remaining close or on the site not allowing the proper exit thus using the entrance road.

The campground was nice and the people were friendly however there was a train about 1/4 of a mile from our RV that went by 24/7 and blew it’s whistle. Did not get much sleep while we were there.

People running KOA were extremely rude to my family who came to visit. Cut them off with four wheeler in the middle of the road and yelled at them for not stopping at desk and felt like they were watching every move my teen grandgirls Made Was very uncomfortable. Also very loud train goes by often and impossible to sleep. Sewer was also broken. Would never go there again.

I was very surprised to see these remarks after you was in to check out and said staff was so helpful in moving you around several times.

only complaint was we could not use our picnic table cause it was 4 ft from neighbors sewer hose. distance between sites are only about 6 feet. they seem to get closer and closer together.

It was a beautiful property with friendly staff. The cabin was clean and just what we expected. A few updates could be used in the bathroom, but it was very clean. They do have a train that passes through and blows the horn but you hear it and fall right back to sleep. I do not sleep well and I was able to rest fully. We would definitely stay again.

Nice KOA! Clean and well maintained. Nice pool! Pull through sites were long enough to accommodate our 39ft 5th wheel and truck however the roads are very narrow so exiting our site was a challenge.
