Arrived to find that the space we had requested and were told we could (and would have) had been given to another party. Claimed no info was attached to our reservation re: this request so we were given a choice of 2 remaining spaces. One was directly across from kids playground while the other space barely accommodated our camper. This will definitely be our last stay here!!

Despite the terrible weather, customer service was amazing, and very accommodating when we made several changes. We enjoyed the amenities and bathrooms were very clean. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Kabin was as advertised, with some additional items, morze outlets abd seating, than expected. The sraff was niceand helpful, and the restrooms were cleaned regularly. We had a good trip

We only stayed 1 night but will certainly be back. The camping cabin was exactly what we were hoping for, simple and quiet. The goats were Ann extra special bonus as the kids love goats and were super excited about them. It rained so we didn’t get play golf, but more the reason to return :)

Awesome tent sites with plenty of room. Bathrooms were clean. My daughter loved feeding the goats and donkeys.

They were friendly & accommodating. The place was lovely, and quiet. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean.

Boone KOA is the best. Our first camping trip was at Boone with our children and was so impressive we visited it frequently. We returned to Boone last week with our grand kids and we be making this a yearly vacation. No better place to spend quality time with your family and the most relaxing camp ground you will ever find. Look forward to next year. K. Matthews

My toy poodle which is my service dog severely injured her hind leg getting away from a rat shortly after arriving. Went immediately and told Donna about the rat borrows between our campsite and the next. Told the grounds keeper the next day. No interest or apology or concern for my dog. Vet bill's mounting.

Love the goats and donkeys. Site was not level and it was a bit noisy, but we still enjoyed our stay.

TINY and TIGHT site even though I'm only 25-26 ft. Hard to get into. Single camper offered no help getting in. Parked truck mostly in road. Couldn't put awning or rug out. Fire ring was practically in road, so was table on OTHER end of site. RR ties holding gravel run through middle of site. Trip hazzard. Neighbor's sewer line was very close to my fire ring. Best thing I can say is was clean.

Very friendly staff. Clean facilities. Camp sites are only big enough for camping unit. People trying to park at camp site causing the potential for accidents. I had to rent the camp site next to mine for our entire stay to have safe place to park without having to walk clear up to the office parking lot. Being a 100% disabled veteran that walk was not an option.

No level sites , to many trees to damage rv. Sites to close together but all workers were very friendly and professional.

The customer service was great! The bathrooms and cabin were very clean. We had two issues. The first, the mattress on the full size bed was too thin, which made it uncomfortable. The second, the wifi didn't work, so we didnt have any service at all.

The Dads and Daughters in our group had a blast. The camp sites were perfectly located so we could all be close together.

We had a great time. Only wish I6 was more level but we figured it out. My age probably made it harder to get around - knees and ankle. Great view of mountains and cows grazing! Very clean and staff was very Nice.

Great location with beautiful scenery. There were goats, cows. Putt putt, and fishing pond. Very quiet and serene. Everything was very clean and in working order. Campsites were a little tight and wish they had nicer fire pits. Definitely worth a stay.

Nice campground, quiet green and beautiful trees. Campground could use some tlc to upgrade sites, improve muddy turns and more supervision as to how/where people park their RV and vehicles

They were honest about their WiFi being possibly weak. So they did the best they could to accommodate my family so my kids could still attend school. It held up for the school day. All day google meets and hardly a drop. Thank you Boone KOA. Location of campground is beautiful. Mostly peaceful, though it was during the week. Will visit again.

Site G5 is extremely muddied could use lots more gravel. Moved to H6, much better. Management and CS very professional, accommodating and NICE! Other campgrounds in area no good for large rigs.

Sites were so small that we had no room to park our vehicle. However, the office staff did allow us to park our truck in a vacant campsite. Restrooms were clean and followed COVID protocol. The campground was not located along a highway so was quiet at night. We were unable to have a campfire due to the close proximity of the fire pit to our camper.

The park has a very nice setting... enjoyed seeing the cows, goats and donkeys. The goats were particularly entertaining. Unfortunately, our sites in row G were very unlevel... so much so that we weren’t able to adjust for it. I noticed that many RVs in the other rows were having similar issues. I recommend that the park invest in grading all of the sites to correct the leveling issues.

Great location to hiking trails nearby. Only 15 minutes to Elk Knob State Park, and less than 30 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ten-fifteen minutes from numerous gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores. Easy pull-through sites, although some mud on edges due to lots of rain. Would definitely stay here again.

This is like camping On your lawn. Everyone is very close together and there is absolutely no trees anywhere so there is no privacy. The shelter was nice but grill was tiny. Bathrooms were fairly clean but there are nicer more wooded campgrounds in the area that are cheaper. Unfortunately they were sold out so we tried this and ended up leaving after one night. Would never stay here again.

Sites were very muddy and could use stone to level them out. Also the sites are so short trucks have to park and block roads. People were great. Also we expected bad WiFi but it was actually horrendous. In today’s world it is just not reasonable to not be able to do emails banking etc.

Best KOA in North Carolina. Appalachian State, Blue Ridge Parkway, plenty of amenities.
