They were honest about their WiFi being possibly weak. So they did the best they could to accommodate my family so my kids could still attend school. It held up for the school day. All day google meets and hardly a drop. Thank you Boone KOA. Location of campground is beautiful. Mostly peaceful, though it was during the week. Will visit again.

Site G5 is extremely muddied could use lots more gravel. Moved to H6, much better. Management and CS very professional, accommodating and NICE! Other campgrounds in area no good for large rigs.

Sites were so small that we had no room to park our vehicle. However, the office staff did allow us to park our truck in a vacant campsite. Restrooms were clean and followed COVID protocol. The campground was not located along a highway so was quiet at night. We were unable to have a campfire due to the close proximity of the fire pit to our camper.

The park has a very nice setting... enjoyed seeing the cows, goats and donkeys. The goats were particularly entertaining. Unfortunately, our sites in row G were very unlevel... so much so that we weren’t able to adjust for it. I noticed that many RVs in the other rows were having similar issues. I recommend that the park invest in grading all of the sites to correct the leveling issues.

Great location to hiking trails nearby. Only 15 minutes to Elk Knob State Park, and less than 30 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ten-fifteen minutes from numerous gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores. Easy pull-through sites, although some mud on edges due to lots of rain. Would definitely stay here again.

This is like camping On your lawn. Everyone is very close together and there is absolutely no trees anywhere so there is no privacy. The shelter was nice but grill was tiny. Bathrooms were fairly clean but there are nicer more wooded campgrounds in the area that are cheaper. Unfortunately they were sold out so we tried this and ended up leaving after one night. Would never stay here again.

Sites were very muddy and could use stone to level them out. Also the sites are so short trucks have to park and block roads. People were great. Also we expected bad WiFi but it was actually horrendous. In today’s world it is just not reasonable to not be able to do emails banking etc.

We’ve been there three times this summer we have enjoyed it every time professionally run friendly people just a wonderful Campground To stay at highly recommend it look forward to staying there next summer 2021

Other reviewers said how close the campsites are to each other, and they are close, but somehow it didn't feel that way. We had a nice weekend getaway, watched the goats and the cows.

Other than roads needing attention, this is a beautiful and quiet place to camp with a lot of wonder people without distraction. Love staying there with my family.

The lots are too close together and very unlevel. Little to no amenities and putt putt is grown up. This is not like any KOA I have ever stayed at, not a happy camper.

Sites are not being maintained and were very muddy. We sank in 2 spots, the third site was full of muddy ruts. No ring. The Site was very small. There were rocks on the ground But they were only 2-3 feet from our camper and it would not have been safe to build a fire. Other campers were experiencing the same issues, our neighbor had to try 5 sites. Not what we expect at a KOA...rethinking all KOAs

We are locals and just wanted to be tourist for the weekend and it was wonderful! We’ve already picked dates to come next season. We are bummed your not open Halloween weekend though since it’s a Saturday. Your closing date should be Nov 1 this year �

Area around Campground quiet. Peaceful stay. Sites are a little small even for a 21 foot travel trailer. Not enough space to park truck without being in access road. Sewage access location practically unusable as it was uphill from spot assigned. Would probably stay there again if in area but would love to see improvements.

When we pulled in to a pull thru camp sight we were surprised that my 28 foot camper and F150 were longer than the pull Thru camp sight. Each camp sight was right on top of one another and the sight was not flat . Between parking as close to one side of the space I had to walk with one foot on the slightly flat parking area and the other foot was walking on the hill side. The park was clean

MUD! Uneven and short space. Steep inclines. No place to park my truck and too short to remain attached. Could not get wi-fi. The only campground on our 4000 mile trip that we would not revisit. TERRIBLE!

We stayed at Boone KIA last Timmerman for six weeks and liked it so much we went back this summer for ten weeks. Owner Joanne and her staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make camping at Boone KOA pleasant. The sites are terraced so be prepared with leveling blocks. It is the mountains and over 4000 feet. Average temperatures in the 70’s all summer. Close to town and groceries.

Sites were lacking adaquate gravel and were rough and muddy after the rain causing tracking into the camper.

Staff is very kind. Safety due to rutted and muddy roads are a problem. Graveled lots are not level and provide for safety concerns. Lots are too small to park Class A and your car. Husband fell and broke his leg. I do not believe we would return to this location due to above concerns.

The only negative was when the fellow in K11 moved in at 11:45 PM & did a complete set-up. If me I would have hooked up the water/power completing the rest in the AM. I understand late arrival but a little Quiet Time courtesy would have been nice!

Older campground, very tight with all gravel roads, hard to manuver with anything over 30 ft. Courteous staff.

Nice campground. Employees and Workkampers were extremely nice. Quiet but rather cramped campsites. Spaces are VERY close together but we will return in the future as it is the only KOA in the area.

Great mountain location. Impressed that staff fixed partially washed out camp roads immediately after heavy rain storm. Only negative is that WiFi is very slow, even with about 50% occupancy of campground.

Narrow streets to navigate with a larger RV. Love the dogs and cows at the farm. Great view of sunrise. Clean Traditional restroom/shower area but most campgrounds have separate shower rooms or individual shower/toilet rooms which is beneficial given COVID.

Best KOA in North Carolina. Appalachian State, Blue Ridge Parkway, plenty of amenities.
