The upcoming vintage trailer rally is more than just a gathering—it's a heartfelt celebration of life honoring Watt Orbie Mungall, a true icon in the vintage trailer and camping community across the western United States.
This special event marks the 6th year of this cherished rally, held annually at the Brigham City / Perry South KOA. It brings together friends, family, and fellow enthusiasts to celebrate a man whose passion for vintage campers, community, and adventure left a lasting legacy.
Affectionately known as "Orbie," Watt Orbie Mungall, alongside his beloved wife Em, spent nearly two decades bringing people together through their shared love of restored trailers, road trips, and the timeless spirit of the open road. Their impact stretched far beyond Utah, reaching fellow travelers and vintage trailer fans across the West.
Orbie was a proud and active member of the Tin Can Tourists, a historic club founded in 1919 to promote the use and preservation of vintage trailers and motor coaches. The club stands for community, adventure, and craftsmanship—values Orbie truly lived by.
Whether he was hosting a rally, giving tours of his classic camper, or mentoring new owners just diving into the vintage trailer lifestyle, Orbie was a pillar of the community. His events were warm, inclusive, and full of the laughter and camaraderie that define the vintage camping lifestyle.
Orbie helped organize and host numerous vintage trailer rallies throughout Utah and at the iconic Terry Bison Ranch in Wyoming. These weren't just showcases of beautiful campers—they were celebrations of connection, storytelling, and the joy of life on the road.
His efforts inspired a growing community of vintage RV lovers who continue to gather, restore, and roll on—thanks in large part to the foundation he helped build.
In honor of Orbie's remarkable life and legacy, we invite vintage trailer fans, past rally-goers, and new friends to join us at the Brigham City / Perry South KOA on April 27th from 10am-4pm to enjoy stepping into the past and honoring all that is great.

This is a tribute to the kind of man who made every rally feel like home. Orbie's contributions helped shape the culture of vintage camper rallies, and this gathering is our way of saying thank you.
We'll remember Orbie not just with words, but with the sights, sounds, and friendships that make this community so special.
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
