It was great! I had 2 kids under 5 years old and they loved the cabin that was selected for us. Right next to the pond and the playground. The cabin had great amenities. Staff was very friendly. There was not much to do with the kids though, so we had to go to a different campground the next day that had an updated playground as well as areas for the kids to ride their bikes next to the lake.

Quiet, traffic can be a little heavy on the road outside the park, and traffic inside is a little fast at times. Seems like not all understand the 5MPH posted limit. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Myself and 3 other guys stay at the koa at brookland/lake Sam Rayburn,tx. The staff are so accommodating and they are their to help in anyway possible. The owner Tony is a great guy.

I realize the site has had lots of rain recently but the roads still need to be graded.

The cabins are always clean and the owners are always on site to answer and questions we may have. The staff is always friendly and they go over and beyond to make sure we have a great stay. We frequent this location and have never had any problems.

One of the pool's should be heated or have a solar cover that stays on until someone want's to use it. That way the heat will stay in the pool over night when it cools off.

Good big trailer site. Wish we could of stayed longer. Had appointment with camping world:( Will stay again. Dog park was very big. My two large dogs loved it. Keep up the good work. Drilling didn’t bother us one bit!!!

We loved the welcome pile of wood at our site on arrival. We were tent camping in December ( with a motorbike) and were SO well looked after... All the personnel are so friendly, generous and helpful. The only improvements would be flatter tent sites and a rec. room or (at least) dish-washing facilities, with hot and cold water ( and cooking facilities/ even outdoor kitchen) near the tent sites.

Clean cabin, secure, quiet. Issue is that is expensive. $80 a night and not have a full bathroom. Holiday Inn Express gives you a full BR for another $15. I guess the location dictates price. But then you go to the on-site store and pay $3 for a bottle tea.

Peaceful relaxing and hassle free. Campground was clean as always. The workers were helpful and so very nice. Our cabin was amazing and very clean when we got there

We stayed at site 116 and my kids and grandkids stayed in the 100 year old farm house directly across from us. We can’t say enough about how Tony and his entire staff make the time there very enjoyable. The facility is always neat and clean with very friendly staff. We love the Brookeland KOA

It was a great and relaxing stay, the beds are not comfortable which did affect the rating. And the floors were really dirty but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and the amenties.

I've stayed at several KOAs in the cabins/cottages and this one is definitely one of my favorites for off season peace and quiet. (I enjoy traveling Sept, Oct, Nov.)

This was one of, if not THE best, park we have ever stayed at! We’ve been in other KOA’s and numerous parks and they were very nice, but this one was special. It has a small family owned feel to it, nestled in the deep East Texas woods, a hop-skip-and a jump away from Big Sam Rayburn and all the National Forest activities. The owner himself brought us firewood! Kind, respectful and great place

New to the RV lifestyle. We traveled from central Georgia to central Texas. This was our second KOA location. It was great! Nice folks in the office. Grounds were clean. Pool area was well kept. Showers were clean!! Awesome place!

The weather was great, I got a back ache from the bed but it was better than sleeping in a tent. The Wifi was nice when it worked. The TV was all messed up. The KOA employees were very nice, and helpful. The heater in our cabin went out but they brought us a substitute space heater that worked fine.

We stayed because it was close to our deer lease but we discovered that it was a perfect combination of peaceful, country charm and all of the conveniences and comforts of home. We will be back with the family for a weekend getaway!!

The pull though area I was given was muddy and the pull though exit was impassible. The trees had not been trimmed on the road and would have damaged my class A motorhome. It had 2 foot deep ruts on a crown in the road. I would have been hung up with my undercarrage trapped on the crown. It would have been a massive tow bill., After disconnecting the tow,one of the other campers helped me back up

We had a very quiet restful stay. The employees were respectful and talkative. This was refreshing, no sour Gus here. One of our favorite things to do is walk the downtown area of nearby cities. Sadly, Jasper had too much construction for our liking. Great stay otherwise!

This was a very clean and nicely designed campground. We stayed in the Harley Davidson themed cabin. It was right on the pond and surrounded with well kept grassy areas. The cabin was very clean with a good heating and cooling system. There was plenty of room and we were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lake was only about 1.5 miles from the campground.

we had the deluxe cabin and did not have pillows. It was not stated on website. We brought linens for bed, pillows and for bathing. We were disappointed that we had no pillows and not informed there was no pillows. We only had 1 coffee cup. The kitchen had very limited dishes and no grill near the cabin.

Checking in before 5pm - should have a minimum package if office staff unable to be there. no cable for campers; no internet codes; no codes for showers or laundry. Borrowed from other camping neighbors that were surprised at limitations Too. Website overstated greatness - I would have looked more - we still had an hour before normal camping businesses shut down.

We had such a great time here! The cabin was pristine and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out by the fire looking out at the pond, and the three resident ducks were great company! I love that there is so much to do here, with two pools and canoe rentals. We also found the store well stocked for anything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great campground and facilities. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Close to the lake and had some trails in the woods on the property to explore. Pool is open year round but is not heated in the winter. Had no issues with the RV hookups everything worked great
