honest response to help improve moment I think it was a little expensive for little amount of time we were actually there we killed about 10 real roaches not wood roaches the customer service there was amazing had a smile and was very nice the bed were comfortable downside no privacy for cabin bathroom but we'll try another go just a little pricey 4 less then 24hrs but will try again thanks y'all

Love this place! Our cabin was nice and secluded, even on a busy holiday week. However, the reason I didn't give the highest ratings is because the mattresses were like sleeping on a rock and the commode didn't work correctly, even after it was looked at by maintenance. BUT, that being said, the owner and managers are wonderful and the setup for horseback riding is excellent!!

We always have a wonderful time at the Brookland/Lake Sam Rayburn KOA. It is very family friendly and there is a wonderful family that runs this KOA. We go every year and We love the riding trails.

I love the Koa it is a great family oriented place to stay. Your family will love it and woods and campfires and the quiet and not to forget the fishing pounds to fish in and all the trails you can go on and they are pet friendly love it here they treat you like family

Our stay was very nice!! The playground was a very good bonus. Will definitely come back! The only thing we wished had been different is that when people were hooking up their rv's to go home they blocked the road so we had to sit for about 45 minutes before we could pull out.

There really is no lake access from here so you have to drive a bit. The rustic cabins (the one we were in) were right next to each other. We also had food freeze (salad) in the mini fridge. Other than those things, we had a grand time! Friendly staff, complimentary firewood, heat in the cabin, slept deep.

Campground very nice with natural feel, not pavement. Restrooms nice. People were great. Enjoyed our visit.

The camp ground is always clean and always fun. Definitely a favorite place for us to get away for the weekend and ride ATV’s.

The one major thing we did not like is the distance between the water/sewerage and the electrical hookup. This was, in our opinion, a very poorly designed set up. Especially when arriving after dark. Which brings me to the only other complaint is the park is poorly lit or not at all. Otherwise we were treated wonderfully and the staff went out of their way to serve us.

enjoyable place to stay.the accomadations were nice roomy and clean.the staff was curtious and helpful.its a great place to take children.i will recommend koa brookeland texas to all my friends.Thanks Tony and all your staff for brightening our cloudy days.

Nice to have state park style camping. We were getting tired of Glamping style. If we had any question(s), need help or guide, they were very supportive and make sure we had good experience with ours stay. Because of that we schedule for week stay for RV and cabin in the future. So now they have returning camper.

Campground is beautiful and clean but cabins were smaller than other KOA cabins we have stayed at. No linens provided was not known ahead of time. Also the beds were possibly the most uncomfortable we have ever experienced.

Ad said "concrete pads"-they weren't for RV but for the picnic table! RV site so sloped that we couldn't get level until we pulled half out of it- then couldn't reach electric hook up. Site was so soft we couldn't maintain level. Snack bar and office closed at 3 pm so no chance to move to different site. Not as near Lake Rayburn as we thought from name Not up to KOA standards

ratings are important so i will give high ratings, however, disappointment was 2 things. 1st, the office closes too early. it closed before 430 pm everyday we were there. most koa's are at least open until 6pm, even 8pm. 2nd, we got to our spot with someone elses trash on our space. which got picked up the next day, after something got into it and trash was everywhere. so, trash pickup is problem

These people are the best people you will meet!! The campground is immaculate and the staff is wonderful. They will help with anything they can. There are not enough good things to say. If you haven't been than you are truly missing out. We will be back for many more years to come that's for sure!!

My group had a great time at this campground. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway or a somewhere to hang out with old friends.

Everyone on the staff was super friendly. The entire campground was well maintained and the bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely be coming back.

It is nice! Cabin was quaint and nice but bed was like sleeping on a board. Fishing no good as pond fish are fed regularly. No access from the park to Mill creek. The site is in a great location. I really liked the area....

No TV service - Was not given the shower code when we arrived. No entertainment for the guest on the weekend like most KOA's we have stayed at. We had to cancel our stay early and had a hard time getting a refund. It wasn't a pleasant stay - due to the reason we had to leave early was for sugery on my husband. Better communication between office and patrons would be a help.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This was during the natural disaster Hurricane Harvey evacuation. We were housing evacuees who had lost their homes and belongings. Therefore being stretched so thin we did not have any entertainment planned. We did turn our game room and conference center into a donation center with free clothing food for the victims of the hurricane.

We evacuated to the camp. I can't even begin to express my gratitude they went above and beyond to help us and to raise our spirits. They have so much heart and compassion I will continue to visit as often as I can!

All the employeesame were very nice and helpful. I will definitely be staying there in the future and I would recommend any and everyone to stay there.

The Acostas provided hot meals, gathered supplies for hurricane Harvey evacuees from SETX. This team went above and beyond to help everyone affected. Great gestures: went door to door to see if anyone needed additional toiletries, provided quarters for washing clothes, discount on our stay and waived the pet fee. This KOA is always a pleasure to stay at because of the Acostas. Thank You!

we were all very pleased as always the staff Tony and Katy couldnt ask for any better thanks for making our stay a home away from home, All the help you got for us Harvey victims was truly Heaven sent for us.. We will always be grateful.....

We had such a great time here! The cabin was pristine and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out by the fire looking out at the pond, and the three resident ducks were great company! I love that there is so much to do here, with two pools and canoe rentals. We also found the store well stocked for anything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great campground and facilities. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Close to the lake and had some trails in the woods on the property to explore. Pool is open year round but is not heated in the winter. Had no issues with the RV hookups everything worked great
