We had a great time. I was surprised to have a half bath/bedroom together in the same room, so we all 4 adults slept in bunk-beds. We were not forewarned about this and it's not on the website as a blueprint. The cops did show up o the last night....a holiday weekend. A great facility overall and very clean!! A great place for a family getaway....lots of stuff to do.

When we pulled into the park i really thought we were pulling into a trailer park not a camper ground. The grass was over grown. Sites were mud pit. One of spots didn't have a picnic table the other site had a broken picnic table. I would not reccomend this park to anyone.

The rain was bad due to the mud. The roads are too narrow for two vehicle to pass. The roads are mud and has a lot of holes. The pull thru sites are not pull thru sites due to the tree limbs being to low to pull thru.

The futon had been in the frame so long that it was literally stuck. Lumpy and musty. The "mattress" in the bedroom was a piece of foam. Very uncomfortable. Also would be nice if there had been a notice that linens were not supplied. Mold in the filters of the air conditioning. I would not recommend this campground.

The staff was great and even rented me a nicer place that had become available. I definitely will be back.

Very friendly and helpful. We had lost owner due to Hurricane Laura and the KOA Employees found us a cabin and brought us a lot of relief and comfort during hard times. Thank you KOA!

I really would like to come back on another day , due to Hurricane Laura my family and I couldn't enjoy ourselves.

We stayed during the evacuation from hurricane Laura. The cabin was solid. But extremely uncomfortable because of no power and when the power was on the ac unit was filthy and was barely blowing. But I'm sure under other circumstances it would have been great. Would consider going back under vacation circumstances.

The overall care of the campgrounds are great. The owners of the property are very hands on with the day to day and want to ensure the guests have a good stay. Just wish the inside of the cabin liked cleaner(front of refrigerator dirty, caked/burnt on food on the stove, doors were dirty, shower barely clean. We did our own overall cleaning before we brought our stuff in. Other than that Awesome.

Although I love trees, I don't like the low branches. It was difficult to drive our 40' 5th wheel in order to not hit branches. The drive into park is very narrow - like one lane, and dusty. We didn't interact with office so no comment on staff - except for gentleman picking up trash was very friendly. Plenty of cabins.

Main reason for visiting is access to creek for kayaking to lake. Would love to see more clearing and accessible path to creek.

The futon bed mattress you could feel the springs. The roads are not paved. So when you outside you will get the dirt from other vehicles coming and going. Therefore I was not able to enjoy the outside.(Bummer) When it rained it make the sand/dirt so soft I feel down by the stairs while trying to let my dog out for potty time. (Maybe invest on concert walk way)

We did have a problem with our neighbors walking through our campsite. We were sitting at our site and several times they would walk 2 feet beside where we were sitting. We also were charged a pet deposit thinking that it was refundable. Always leave the cabin cleaner than when we first get there.

We were looking for a retreat away from home and were pleasantly surprised. This KOA is very spacious and our cabin felt like it was in its own little cove. There were some ducks my kids loved playing with, great trails to hike on, dark skies at night to stargaze and it was very dog friendly. We enjoyed a trip to Angelina National Forest during our stay as well. We will come back to visit. :)

We always have a good time at Brookland KOA. The staff always goes above and beyond to accommodate the guests. The cabins are clean and comfortable & the grounds are well maintained. We love this place & will definitely be going back.

I rented two Lodge cabins and one Cottage. The cottage sleeps 4 and had two air units. Our larger cabin slept 6 and only had one air unit. This does not make sense- more people equals more body heat. We also rented the stables for a wedding. I was not informed that I was going to be charged for all guests passes- didn’t even know about the guest passes. Maybe a little more transparency will help

WE had a great time .We didnt want to leave everything was so great. My Son was disappointed that there was few fish in the ponds . But other then that it was perfect to me .

Everything was great except the ants were out of control, they got into our food and would appear within minutes inside the cabin. Then we realized it had gotten into our car, now at home and we are still battling them. Let me know when the ant problem is over. Pool was great, nature trails great, office staff great. Ants very very bad

We had a great time. My only suggestions...the clay in front of KL-08 is VERY slippery when wet & that area collects water. You might want to put out a few more paving stones to keep your guests safe. Also, the fishing pond needs more fish. In 3 days, we only saw one person catch one fish.

Came to the KOA to spend time with our granddaughters. We all had a great time. The pool is wonderful and we all enjoyed it very much. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful and our cabin was great. Hope to be able to go again.

Everything was perfect! The cabin was clean. The location was amazing. The grounds were so clean that it was difficult for us to find sticks to help with the fire. I’ve told everyone who has asked that I highly recommend this location!

Reservations from July 13-17 Heat index of 115° with NO SHADE at almost all tent sites while RV sites are all shady. Mosquito infested stagnant water in rented kayaks Pool water was comparable to a hot tub in the evening then closed for cleaning for until after lunchtime Left within 24hours and was told no refund offered or attempt to make our stay possible. We had such a great time here! The cabin was pristine and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out by the fire looking out at the pond, and the three resident ducks were great company! I love that there is so much to do here, with two pools and canoe rentals. We also found the store well stocked for anything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great campground and facilities. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Close to the lake and had some trails in the woods on the property to explore. Pool is open year round but is not heated in the winter. Had no issues with the RV hookups everything worked great
