Owners had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids that they really enjoyed. The pools were clean an enjoyable. We rented canoes and had a great trip down the creek to Lake Rayburn. Owners and staff were always helpful and pleasant. Definitely recommend the Brookeland/Lake Sam Rayburn, TX KOA.

We had a wonderful stay! The owner and everyone who works there were super friendly and helpful. We are planning our next trip there in a few weeks. We love it!

We requested site, 41, 42, or 43 due to the short length of my trailer. When we arrived, we were placed on site 40 which has a long distance between the hookups. We had to leave the camp to go to Jasper to get a 30A extension cord. No big deal, I just wish I had known before we arrived. I understand not all requests can be made, but it would have been nice to know before we arrived.

Terrible stench from sewer the whole 5 days. Appeared they were working on it but it was bad. Way too many people not picking up after their dogs. Sites were spacious but not even close to level.

People were nice. Camp is clean & well maintained. Wi-Fi was real weak. Planning to stay there more.

It was great. Only one thing could have made it better and that would be cable. I like to stay in touch with news and weather.

Best internet connectivity I have ever experienced at a KOA. Great place for walking. Would like to see cable TV available as over the air TV is not available. Very courteous and helpful staff.

Quiet and relaxing. Level sites. Easy power, water, sewage connections. Plenty of paths/trails through wooded areas for hiking, nature viewing, walking the dogs.

Older campground. Needs a little work. Bathrooms and showers VERY clean. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Please have people pick up after their dogs.!!!!! Clean your laundry room. Over all the park is really nice.

We always have a wonderful time at the Brookland/Lake Sam Rayburn KOA. It is very family friendly and there is a wonderful family that runs this KOA. We go every year and We love the riding trails.

I love the Koa it is a great family oriented place to stay. Your family will love it and woods and campfires and the quiet and not to forget the fishing pounds to fish in and all the trails you can go on and they are pet friendly love it here they treat you like family

Our stay was very nice!! The playground was a very good bonus. Will definitely come back! The only thing we wished had been different is that when people were hooking up their rv's to go home they blocked the road so we had to sit for about 45 minutes before we could pull out.

Campground very nice with natural feel, not pavement. Restrooms nice. People were great. Enjoyed our visit.

The one major thing we did not like is the distance between the water/sewerage and the electrical hookup. This was, in our opinion, a very poorly designed set up. Especially when arriving after dark. Which brings me to the only other complaint is the park is poorly lit or not at all. Otherwise we were treated wonderfully and the staff went out of their way to serve us.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and laundry very clean. Prices reasonable. Quiet at night.

Nice to have state park style camping. We were getting tired of Glamping style. If we had any question(s), need help or guide, they were very supportive and make sure we had good experience with ours stay. Because of that we schedule for week stay for RV and cabin in the future. So now they have returning camper.

Ad said "concrete pads"-they weren't for RV but for the picnic table! RV site so sloped that we couldn't get level until we pulled half out of it- then couldn't reach electric hook up. Site was so soft we couldn't maintain level. Snack bar and office closed at 3 pm so no chance to move to different site. Not as near Lake Rayburn as we thought from name Not up to KOA standards

ratings are important so i will give high ratings, however, disappointment was 2 things. 1st, the office closes too early. it closed before 430 pm everyday we were there. most koa's are at least open until 6pm, even 8pm. 2nd, we got to our spot with someone elses trash on our space. which got picked up the next day, after something got into it and trash was everywhere. so, trash pickup is problem

Everyone on the staff was super friendly. The entire campground was well maintained and the bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely be coming back.

No TV service - Was not given the shower code when we arrived. No entertainment for the guest on the weekend like most KOA's we have stayed at. We had to cancel our stay early and had a hard time getting a refund. It wasn't a pleasant stay - due to the reason we had to leave early was for sugery on my husband. Better communication between office and patrons would be a help.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This was during the natural disaster Hurricane Harvey evacuation. We were housing evacuees who had lost their homes and belongings. Therefore being stretched so thin we did not have any entertainment planned. We did turn our game room and conference center into a donation center with free clothing food for the victims of the hurricane.

We had such a great time here! The cabin was pristine and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting out by the fire looking out at the pond, and the three resident ducks were great company! I love that there is so much to do here, with two pools and canoe rentals. We also found the store well stocked for anything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great campground and facilities. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Close to the lake and had some trails in the woods on the property to explore. Pool is open year round but is not heated in the winter. Had no issues with the RV hookups everything worked great
