Clean campground, friendly staff. Happened to be there 10/18 thru 10/23.... greatly enjoyed watching the sun set in the sound side and the full moon coming up over the ocean.

We were on a very tight site that didn’t leave much room for our truck. The whole week stayed there the whole row of pull through sites across from us were empty. Asked if we could move over before we unhooked but it was a $20 up charge. Goes to show they are more about the money than the comfort of their guests. Drains in bathrooms run straight to the ground. The sunrises & sunsets are priceles

The Cabin was clean, and close to the beach. Very dog friendly campground. KOA staff was friendly and always helpful.

We had a good time but we do have some issues. We have stayed a few times in the past, this time the grounds were not as cleaned as they should be, also bathe rooms need attention. Cleaning there was an article on floor of the one I used most of the time it was in same place for a week, needless to say I was not impressed. Also hole beside camper 7 ins d by 10 in across. Size of lots very hard.

Wasn't much 4 kids 2 do. The only thing was a wooden pirate ship & jumpy pillow. The sand at the pirate ship had sand spurs n it and the toddlers kept getting them stuck n their feet. We went 2 the gazebos across the street & one of them was filled with ants n bit our grand-daughter 2 pieces. The staff was friendly The bathhouses & campground was clean. Not a good place for toddlers.

Honestly disappointed. We loved the beach but the resort over all was very, for lack of a better word, bleh. We actually left a day early. I would say the place is nice but did not stack up to Cape Charles KOA. The restaurant wasn’t a restaurant and was closed on 2 of the days we were there and only served breakfast and lunch. For a resort we really expected more.

Cape Hatteras KOA location is so amazing. The beach was only a few minutes walk. Our children had an amazing time chasing the waves and playing in the sand. The staffs are so friendly, they even took us to our cabin upon arrival. The hot jacuzzi was so handy and relaxing because it was cold when we where there. It was very windy and staying in the cabin was perfect for our family.

We had a great time at the KOA. The facilities were good. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, bouncing pillow, and the close walk to the beach. We tent camped and the site was great. The only item of note was the overall cleanliness of the bathhouse. It did not seem to be cleaned well or frequently throughout the 4-night stay we had.

Rented a tent site with electricity and water. Restrooms and shower rooms were clean. Office staff less helpful -- when asked for recommendations, response was to point at rack of printed brochures. Store drink cooler was not cooling when I was looking for cold drink. Grounds crew cut my electric extension cord with weed eater during our stay.

Spent only 1 night because we were moving on to the next destination. The sand spurs around the hookups were terrible. They stuck on my shoes and I tracked them in. I didn't see them because we came back in the dark.

Worst stay ever. Check in was a nightmare and once I finally was given the ok (which I paid for early checkin before 3) and room wasn’t ready until 320 walking into a cleaning employee breast feeding on the couch who told me to leave. Beginning of many many issues which I blame on mngment. I did stay only one night instead of the two. Writing letter to corporate which will probably do NO good!

We stayed for 5 days at a tent site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great! The showers and restrooms were clean for the most part but the showers had little black flies in some of the rooms. Dog friendly, right off the beach, nice playground. The campground needs to have a temporary unloading parking area near the beach access. Over all, thumbs up!

Great stay. Great to see a sun rise on the Atlantic and a sunset on the inlet. Not many places in life can you experience this. Really busy this October vs our last visit 3 years ago

Location was everything. Staff was friendly. Price of fire wood was unreasonable ($10 for 6 logs) bath houses were terrible.

This was our first time at this KOA and we will be back!! Access to the beach was the perfect perk in staying here. Staff was extremely helpful, professional and nice :) The campground was very clean and sites were nicely spaced. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. Had our wedding ceremony on the beach and reception in the Wave room. It was a beautiful day and an awesome week.

Really enjoyed the campground overall. It was frustrating that I couldn’t pickup firewood in the last 15 min before the office closed. (They usually deliver.) But luckily I found an awesome employee that hooked us up and delivered the wood anyway. The pool is open year-round, but apparently that doesn’t mean heated. ;) Watch for sand burrs on the dune sites. Ouch!! Really fun time thou

It is a beautiful campground. The back in sites are too short. My 13.5 foot trailer had to be unhooked so we could park across the front. Office staff was lovely the drains in the shower rooms do not drain making it hard to dress without getting clothes wet

The stay was great. My son loved the bounce pad and walk in swimming pool. The swimming pool was wonderful since we is only 2 and cannot swim. I gave 4 star instead of 5 because the twin beds in the cabin we were in were lofted. This was the handicap accessible cabin and the staircase up to the loft was very steep and narrow, which could have been a problem if my child was handicapped.

Campground is well cared for and there are plenty of staff members present to help if needed. On arrival we were escorted to our site since there are so many sites. We had a patio site which was excellent. The bathrooms were spotless even with 5 days of rain.. The only thing negative is that some of the back to back sites were crowded and not adequate room for extra vehicles.

Loves this Koa! Their shower house is the best shower house we have experienced at a campground! The lovely lady in front office is sweet as pie :) and the dog park was always nice and clean for our precious fur babies
