Stayed in cabin 243. Third time I've stayed in your deluxe cabins. Beds and floors were clean. But the rest was very dirty. Blinds and windows were nasty. Dead bugs in bathtub. Refrigerator light and hairdryer not working. Overall the cabin needs a thorough cleaning. If it's a situation of lack of staffing, management should be able to correct. If it's a personnel issue, management Must rectify

No dog poop bags in the dispensers, although it was mentioned to both housekeeping and front desk. Sites are nice but overpriced compared to other campgrounds One counter person in the office was cordial, the other snippy and sarcastic The only reason I consider KOA is because other campgrounds in Cherokee are closed in the winter

Whoever took my reservation at the front desk told me that my time to check in would be 3:00 p.m. when I get to the there they said it would be 4:00 p.m. nobody tried to listen to what I said our cabin was nasty under the bed has never been swept or mopped you have one worker there that is severely overweight and you can actually see her stomach hanging below her shirt they're clothe did not look

I felt lied to when I was told the pool was open then 30 minutes later when I checked in it was closed! When I asked about it the next day I was given the we don’t care attitude. We can’t guarantee you anything and we don’t care. Burned out staff need to go. Terrible customer service!!!

My trip to Cherokee KOA was a good one. RV sites are large and well maintained with plenty of room between them.. Unfortunately there was a NC burning ban and we could not have a fire. The Staff was kind and accommodating. There is plenty to do for all ages, especially for the kids. I will definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful cabin and staff.. however..I did tell staff that our cabin everytime I'd cook or we sat down to eat roaches crawled out of wall trim behind tv seen 2 in bathroom and one was crawling from under shelf where our dishes was. Deluxe 238 was our cabin. Otherwise we will be back in Aug. We stay every August and Dec. We want same cabin but please spray .for bugs.

We love the Cherokee KOA! It's a beautiful location, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the amenities are wonderful. My only suggestion would be to clean the bath house on a more regular basis. It wasn't super clean any of the times I went in there. Oh, and the sign to the indoor pool said it closed at 9pm, but both nights we were in there, they came in at 8pm and said it was closing.

The pool was uninviting. The showers were not cleaned the entire week my husband used them. They sold us wood to tell us an hour later that there is a burn ban and we had to put the fire out. They didn't have an adapter to fill an RV propane tank. Very disappointing.

Campgrounds and cabin very clean and comfortable. Love the view along the creek!! Bath house was also very clean and warm!

Had an open fire ban there this weekend, and I was never alerted. Would have found somewhere else to stay if I had a heads up. Lack of communication. Also, they got there facts wrong. It was an open fire ban,not for propane. Was yelled at,and threatened to call the cops on me. I checked the states website, and propane wasn't banned. Maybe as a campground they should know the basics about fire

It was great as always. Cabins could use a little more tlc. We cleaned the filters in air/ heating unit. Also cleaned the coffee maker. Otherwise it is a great stay. Cc old they put changing rooms back in inside pool? Thought they were there and it was a long cold walk after dark.

The stay was great but there were a few times when we went up to the general store and things didn’t have prices on them and when a staff tried to find out, no one didn’t want to be bothered. At checkin, the staff was even having a hard time getting us an escort to the camp site. Otherwise, it was a great stay…love the site backed up to the creek. Will be back.

Loved the campground. Most sites are a comfortable size. The campground was full over Thanksgiving, however, it was very quiet in the evening and night. We will definitely visit again.

Had a great stay. Friendly staff, clean grounds, lots of play areas for kids (it was fun to see eventhough we didn't need the activities bc our kids are all grown). Was a bit difficult to level our RV bc site was quite uneven. Still, would highly recommend.

They put someone in the site that I called in and requested. The bathrooms were nasty everytime we used them. The air compressor was broken. The jump pillow wasn’t inflated until after 2 o’clock.

We had a terrible experience at check-in. They tried to give us a smaller cabin that we had reserved and kept telling us they couldnt fix it because they didnt have any available. I had requested a Deluxe but they told us corporate changed it and there was nothing they could do. Lied about cabins not having cooktops even though Deluxe cabins do. I will be sending more details in a complaint.

A little disappointed with our drive thru site. When making the reservation the site was described as concrete parking. Turned out to be asphalt and mud. Don't expect anything will be done about this or compensated for. To bad for me about not complaining and moving to another acceptable site.

Always enjoy the stay at great smokies but was totally disappointed with size of refrigerator in our cabin and had to change to a different cabin. Hope they resolve this issue of refrigerators before we consider staying again in spring of 2022.

Enjoyed the time there other then the heater not working in 20 Degree weather no space heaters available had to deal with being Cool three days. Missing remote In room received the next day but did locate in the pull out couch later

Great campground! Beautiful place and very friendly staff. Only problem we had was a broken fireplace in our cabin so it got cold at night. Probably just unfortunate timing.

My site was lovely with a beautiful view of the river. I stayed here because you offered use of an indoor pool and hot tub. I went to the pool/hot tub on my first day and it was so dirty it looked liked it had not been cleaned for over a year. There was mold, dirt and cobwebs all along the walls of the pool enclosure. When I was in the hot tub with other guest we were all grossed out.

We had 3 other families that stayed in the campground as well. We all enjoyed ourselves and ate too much food. Campsite was nice. Only issue we had was kids knocking on our campers on Friday night.

Had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving at the campground with my family and the guys at the KOA, They did an outstanding job with the ham and turkey and the hospitality is awesome, thanks.

We got propane and the person did not tell the office how much he put in. We knew that it was 1/2 empty. we had an idea of how much was put in. we went to pay, the person working the window got short with us and told us to go find the person who put the propane in. We walked the campground trying to find the person but we did not. We were made to fill like it was our fault. We did pay for half

I understand working on a holiday is never fun. We stayed here with a couple of other families like we do every year. This was our last. The staff in very unfriendly and rude and the late check in for the cabins is ridiculous.

Pretty sad how rude the staff can be . Have cabins rented and cleaned and they will not let you step foot in it until 4 . Had friends even try at 3:45 and nope . Seen a women with babies struggling and needing to check in at 3 and nope must wait till 4 even though the cabin is ready . We wasn’t able to check in until an hour after check in. Due to leaving I was looking under the beds Incase we left something and there was trash from the previous family that stayed . Also on website when I checked in it DID NOT put that there would be NO heat for winter cabins. Luckily family had space heaters or my husband & I would of frozen due to the lowers were in the low 30s - mid 20s

Great place. Really enjoyed stay. The shower curtain needs to be adjusted but other than that everything was fine.

Beautiful KOA! Tent camping along the river. Staff friendly. So many things to do around the area. Short drive from the campground, you will come to Mingo Falls, Amazing!! A must see! Will stay here and camp again. We loved it!

Nearly 400 cabin / RV / tent sites. Clean, well lighted, heated bathrooms & hot showers. Easy in-N-out even for big rigs. Close to attractions, the City of Cherokee & not far from Gatlinburg TN.
