We love this KOA, and have been visiting it for years! We have tried the state parks in the area, but always end up making a return trip here. The Lemoine's are wonderful hosts, and have implemented so many nice changes through the years. There is something for everyone at this park, and wonderful amenities for children. The ga-ga pit and jump pillow are among our favorites!

As a private campground, we understand that our government-sponsored competition (aka State Parks) often have beautiful tracts of land and use our tax dollars to offer camping sites at a lower costs. However, we're glad you and your family have come to enjoy the service and amenities we offer.

We stayed 5 nights with grandsons 9 and 11 years old on a patio site that backed to the woods. Liked that there was grass on most of those sites instead of just gravel and dirt. There was a cable TV problem that was fixed on our third or fourth day. That was irritating but they did finally take care of it. The evenings were quiet and relaxing. Woke up every morning to dogs barking, not good!

Everything was really nice. The only thing I can complain about is the cable was off the entire two days we were there. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the pool was awesome! I will definitely come back!

The campground is well maintained. Owners were very nice. For a big rig, you definitely need one of the patio sites.

This was our 3rd stay and the team here always meets our expectations, When staying here have them to text you the top 10 restaurants list, You wont be disappointed. The owners here always have there guests safety on there mind, We had bad weather and was given a heads up that it was coming, and boy did it come.

We weren't given the site we reserved three weeks before are date. The site we were placed in because of the trees we couldn't put our awning out.

Checking your reservation, you were on the same site-type that you reserved, so there was not error. Unless you lock in a specific site via KOA Select My Site or by requesting with us at the time of your reservation, they are not guaranteed until the day of arrival.

We had a great time, the KOA/Coloma was very clean, the people were very friendly, loved all the little services, trash pick up, fire wood delivery, etc. Our only complaint would be that we didn’t have sewer hook-up at our site, when we booked on-line, we didn’t get a site number at the time and was under the impression that “full hook-up” meant electric, water and sewer. We made do!!

We are sorry that there was some confusion, but each of our site types are clearly described online and in the confirmations that are sent. Although having all full hook-up sites might be nice, our park offers sites with different amenities and price points.

We had a great time during our stay! The biggest hit with our boys (10 & 14) was Gaga Ball, they spent hours every evening playing in the pit. The campground was well maintained, has lots of shade, and close to sight seeing areas. We found a hidden gem Rocky Gap County Park which has a nice beach access and it was free. We loved seeing the American flags hanging on the all the cabins!

We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us. We also are pleased you appreciated the way we choose to recognize the men and women who have served our country, with American flags on all of our cabins. It's also a reminder for us to pray for our nation as we bring people together.

This is about our 6th time at this KOA. We have never had an issue at any stay. This is by far the cleanest campground and most well run that we frequent. We did have to leave early due to weather concerns coming in for our last nights stay, and really hated to! Mark came around to everyone that evening to check on them and make sure they were aware of the incoming weather. Love this place!

Thanks for your kind words. We were sorry to see you head out early, but glad you were able to beat the storms. In the end, the thunderstorms just brought some much needed rain for our trees, grass and landscaping. We were relieved that there was no damage to property or personal injury.

The KOA was nice/clean and the staff provide excellent service. Smaller KOA then what I am used to. That isn't a bad thing just mentioning it. Our biggest thing was the area. Benton Harbor area just wasn't our thing. Too busy/touristy. Again not a knock just our personal preferences.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Southwest Michigan is indeed a tourist destination, especially during our peak summer season. The spectacular beaches, vineyards and orchards is why people come. If you're wanting a slower pace, we would invite you to try coming during the fall season. Still plenty to do, but not as crowded.

We really enjoyed our weekend! We loved that there were many activities for the kids. The cafe on site was a hit also! The text updates regarding weather, pool status, etc. was great. We also enjoyed being able to charge to our site and text for ice or firewood. Our only complaint was the closeness of the sites-we felt crowded and on top of our neighbors. We also wish there were more full hook ups

Our sites provide 25-60ft. between units, so while there may always be something bigger, we have also seen much tighter parks. Plus, our peak summer season is an extremely popular time, with a full house every weekend. Guests should anticipate a high-energy, family-friendly environment.

Having mature trees and a full canopy of shade is indeed one of our biggest attributes, especially when in comparison, other campgrounds may make you feel like your baking out in a field or a parking lot. Even on a hot, humid summer day, the trees here provide an inviting and restful retreat.

We had a wonderful stay! I think the camp spot we were in was the best spot we've had this year camping. The staff was so friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the campsite concierge service was just the icing on the cake. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Besides the pool shower/bathroom, the campground was pristine. They are working on areas to improve the place, and I can imagine this part is on their list. Pool area is nice and most of the spots are pretty well shaded by trees.

This place was amazing, the grandkids had a great time. It was quiet, the staff are wonderful, very helpful and coutious.Planning on going back for a longer stay. Silver beach is beautiful.

We had a great stay! There was plenty to keep the kids busy. Everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful and kind. The only negative thing is that the mosquitoes were horrible.

We loved the park. Just a couple of things we didn’t love….could not level our unit without have to leave tires hang in the air; had to get them to take stones from one end of the site to the other. WiFi leaves a lot to be desired. Working on computer while traveling would not be feasible at this location. Other than that the park is well kept and a very nice park!

Our complimentary Wi-Fi is provided to keep you connected with email and social media. Due to the limitations with AT&T, we do not have enough bandwidth for streaming. On the up side, all major cellular companies have strong signals to power your personal hot-spot, which is more secure for work.

Park was very nice overall. However, our site as well as friends next to us was very unlevel. It also had NO grass, total dirt. Glad it didn’t rain. Maybe level them and put some grass seed in?? Put down rugs, but was so unlevel we couldn’t sit in chairs or at picnic table. Site 82. Noticed along that whole strip that people had trouble leveling. Park was clean and pizza was good!

Southwest Michigan's biggest characteristic is that we have sandy soil. We have tried, and will continue to try to address leveling and grass issues. Previously, complaints were with your site was the trees. Now that we've removed the trees, it's the sand. Rest assured, we'll keep trying.

We really enjoyed our time there! The sites were quiet and peaceful with plenty of shade trees. The small dog park was perfect for letting our dog run off some energy. We hope to come back next year!

Positive-friendly, helpful staff; convenient trash pickup and materials delivery; bountiful tree shade. Negative-washrooms/showers should be cleaner; trouble locating cable hookups at site; curled fence at dog park is escape hazard for small dogs.

Thanks for the feedback, both positive and negative. Previous guests will attest, our facilities are regularly cleaned, and we stand by our hard working Housekeeping staff who maintain our restrooms with high standards - especially for a campground. We have also repaired the fence in our dog park.

Booked a quick fall weekend getaway with the family and we all had a blast. Staff was fantastic, campground extremely well kept up and quiet. Plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy as well. We'll definitely be back!
