Sip Your Way Through Cooperstown: Local Breweries, Wineries and Cider Mills

Cooperstown may be famous for baseball, but there is another local tradition worth exploring: craft beverages.

Otsego County was once one of the country’s leading hop-growing regions. Today, local brewers, winemakers and cider makers are keeping that agricultural history alive with Belgian-style ales, small-batch wines, farm-brewed beer, fresh apple cider and creative seasonal beverages.

Guests staying at Cooperstown KOA are within a scenic drive of breweries, wineries and cider mills throughout Cooperstown, Fly Creek, Cherry Valley, Milford, Burlington Flats and Richfield Springs.

Explore the Cooperstown Beverage Trail

The Cooperstown Beverage Trail is a 37-mile route connecting many of the area’s craft-beverage producers. You can visit one or two locations during an afternoon or create your own tasting tour through the surrounding countryside.

Hours at many locations change seasonally, so check with each business before leaving the campground. If you plan to sample alcoholic beverages, please bring a designated driver or arrange transportation.
