We were only there one night, but the location was nice with lots of trees. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Great location, nice facility. The tent areas have no shade - that was not great when it was very hot. You get a lot of space in the w/e tent lots. So that was nice. They also let me get a refund for one of my days when we left early cause of the weather. Great people.

I would rate the campground a A plus but they failed on the weather. It got down to 23 degrees one night. Extremely nice folks working there. Dan

Nice sites. Shaded, drive up tent sites. Good WiFi. Clean and plentiful bathrooms and showers. Nicely stocked store but I wish they would offer 6 packs or individual tallboy cans of beers instead of only 12 packs.

THE GREATEST STAY EVER FOR THE TIMES OF SOCIAL DISTANTANCING.We had a tent site reserved,but when arriving ask if their were cabin avail.There was so we upgraded for a few dollars more.Our cabin did not have a shower,but just a stone throw away are the superbly keep restroom with shower.Check in super eazy.Have your own parking area outside cabin.I recommend giving a shot to stay at a kOA.

Great campground really central to everything Custer has to offer easy access to stores, Cust State Park, Mt Rushmore , crazy Horse and Needles Highway! Be advised Wind cave and Jewels caves are closed due to Covid. Take 16a back road to Mt Rushmore the sights are amazing and to see Rushmore from a distance in the hills!

the sites are very uneven and the WIFI is almost not at all. the showers and laundry were clean and nice, the staff was friendly and helpful

Space heater was noisy but worked well in keeping the cabin warm during the night. Had trouble with the internet. Could not hook up to the WiFi. Shouldn't advertise it if there is a known problem with it. I was told the provider wasn't very reliable.

The cabin was suitable for our needs. The campgrounds were well kept. The showerhouse was clean and well maintained. We even had a little chipmunk friend that hung around the cabin with us.

The KOA stay was good, only thing upsetting was when we arrived I was guided to my space and within seconds was question about the people with us. He then rushed to the office to come back with the receipt of our reservation. Didn’t need to be questioned like that and I knew I needed to update my reservation due to my daughters deciding to stay with us. We have been coming to this KOA for 5 year

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

At the front desk you were asked to verify how many were in your party and your response was not accurate. When you were escorted this disingenuous statement became obvious and left us no choice but to bring the matter to your immediate attention.

Very nice campground. The deluxe site was nice, liked the cement pad but still a bit pricey. Could have been $10-$15 less.

We enjoyed our stay and thought the site was convenient to what we wanted to do and see. The staff all were very helpful and friendly as were other campers. They personally guided us into a good size site in a great area of the grounds. Being our second trip with a new TT it was a little tight in the front. They are in process of widening some sites for more room which will be great. Thanks

Great place, excellent location, nice facilities. It's quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. it's close enough to Custer to get into town for things you might need. It's convenient to all the sights! Love it!

Our original stay was for 9/5-8 but was cut short by an electrical problem and a pending snow storm. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted us with a means to overcome our power problem and were understanding about our need to cut short our stay due to the unexpected snow storm-providing us with a prompt refund. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay with you. You have a very beuituiful park that is well placed, clean and with friendly people. The only issued we had was the poor quality of your internet service and would have been happy to pay additional for “premium internet” service.

Registration staff and facilities are excellent. But I was extremely disappointed at the individual that took us to our campsite. He was impatient, grouchy, and generally unhelpful. I would have given a much higher rating for the campsite otherwise, but the experience with this individual had a great negative impact on my experience at your camp. Sorry!!!! But it's the truth.

The water pressure was bad, The grounds you would think being a koala would have nice grass around instead they let vehicles on the grass. Workers all were very nice and helpful. But until the owners put back some money into fixing the extra water well and the grounds themselves I wouldn't stay again====

Our campsite was one of the largest, cleanest and well maintained sites we've ever had. First class all the way, as are all of the KOA's we've stayed at!

Not the most friendly staff we've encountered in our travels, but the campground was adequate and easy to get to.

Amazing experience here. When we arrived we realized our travel trailer tire was nearly flat and the folks working at the campground went way out of their way to help us block up our trailer extra while we waited for a tire change. They had all the amenities anyone would need, sites were large, campground was quiet, nice amount of tree coverage. Will definitely return!

We were so lucky to have found this place. After seeing a ton of other campgrounds while we were here this is the place. You don't feel like your in a parking lot. This places gives you plenty of space and your surrounded by tall trees. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Staff is also amazing.
