Our time at Custer KOA was great! The staff were friendly, restrooms were clean, and the location was perfect to see everything the Black Hills had to offer. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to visit this area of South Dakota!

We are from Michigan and did a ten day camping trip out West with our two dogs. This was 1 of 5 KOAs we stayed at throughout our trip and it was BY FAR the best. Awesome staff, beautiful spacious sites, dog friendly, and PERFECT location without being in the busy tourist trap cities. If there was a 6 star option, I'd rate this place a 6!

It is in a convenient location but inside the park the sites are so close together that you are practically sitting next to your neighbor's sewage. The smell is horrific.

This is the perfect place to stay when you want to enjoy the beauty Custer and it's surroundings have to offer. I love the people, the great service, and the peaceful atmosphere. We love watching the chipmunks gather their pine cones, and the bats fly at night while we enjoy roasting marshmellows around our campfire, with ample firewood available, delivered right to your site. Top Notch KOA!

Nice campground. Close to the sights but not in the midst of things. Staff was friendly. I love being escorted to the campsite. Nice K9 area. I'd like to have a bench to sit on and maybe some things they can jump over/on. The showers looked newly remodeled but were very narrow. I had to stand sideways to dry off. Wifi was awful. Difficult to use the internet even though I was connected.

The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a site that was very large and you could see it at one time was 2 sites. Great location to be able to visit all the major sites to see in the area. Our grandchildren had a great time on the jump pillow.

I stayed in a cabin at this location and everything was clean including the grounds and restrooms. Although the kampground is off a highway, there is little to no traffic at night and very quiet. Slept great! Thank you to the kampground staff who worked hard to serve their campers, kept everything looking great and were very friendly.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin, which was perfect for our stay. Very comfy and room for all. Enjoyed the big deck with grill -perfect for making meals. The queen bed mattress was very nice, I would want to buy that exact mattress for home, if I could. Thanks to the awesome staff that was very friendly and also bringing us firewood when requested. Nicely kept campgrounds and clean.

Such a nice, clean place and the staff is awesome. We are from the area and just enjoy getting away to swim, jump on the pillow, cook over an open fire and have a peaceful weekend away with the kids. Just an all around great facility!! I would recommend it over any other camp site in the area!

The campground was clean and well organized. It is a smaller campground with plenty of kid amenities and in a perfect location to explore Custer.

Great facilities. Staff is very nice and welcoming. The showers and laundry facilities were nice and clean. I saw staff keeping the facilities organized and were always saying good morning with a smile. I love the fact that the wood gets delivered pretty quickly. Campsite was As expected and We loved our home base for seeing South Dakota as it’s a little bit west of Custer.

Very clean/ well maintained grounds. I found the tent sites to be much larger than most. Spotlessly clean restrooms and friendly hosts. I would highly recommend this campground.

Camp ground is nice enough and people were friendly but service is lacking somewhat. I emailed them and called and left a voicemail asking to change my reservation to full hook up using the email and phone number on the website. At that point there was one full hook up site left. I never heard back. When I arrived I was informed that they rarely check email or voicemail. Seriously?

Really liked it and the kids were really having fun. Clean bath rooms. And it takes a lot to keep a site like this clean and fun.

Usable site was not wide enough to extend slide out and awning due to a tree. Also not very level. Difficult to climb into the trailer and had a small jump off of the last step. Internet was unusable most of the time and cell service was poor. Left a day early so we could get service to pay taxes for our business.

Amazing experience here. When we arrived we realized our travel trailer tire was nearly flat and the folks working at the campground went way out of their way to help us block up our trailer extra while we waited for a tire change. They had all the amenities anyone would need, sites were large, campground was quiet, nice amount of tree coverage. Will definitely return!

We were so lucky to have found this place. After seeing a ton of other campgrounds while we were here this is the place. You don't feel like your in a parking lot. This places gives you plenty of space and your surrounded by tall trees. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Staff is also amazing.
