Had a great week at Flatwoods. Had site #1 and it was perfect. Had great shade and only neighbors on our backside,with easy access for our 42ft rv. Will definitely request this site on our next trip.

2 nights while traveling through the area. The site could use a little leveling but it was nice having the concrete pad and lots of grass was really nice.

The view was gorgeous and very close to the route but Wi-Fi was very sketchy and amenities were connected to the hotel. The town has nothing in it. The site was still lovely.

Comfortable environment. Clean campsite and bathrooms. Liked the ability to be able to order and pick up meals from the restaurant when available. Loved seeing the deer when they came to graze at dusk. We enjoyed our stay. .

We were onsite 34 on top of the hill. Gorgeous view. Lawn was immaculate. Trash was picked up at site. Yes. The hill going down is very steep. Go slow.

They would not honor the KOA discount for Route66 RV Club members. The pool was at the hotel, very small and too far away from the camp ground. Would have to drive due to steep incline and distance from the campground and we were in the first section of the campground. No one asked how our stay was. Won't stay at this one again.

We apoligize that we could not offer the KOA discount for Route 66. If you do choose to stay with us again, we will make absolutely sure to give that discount for that. Thank you for your comment as it has greatly improved our understanding of the guest experience in our campground.

We stayed for two nights for a rest while going cross-country and found the park very pretty and excellently maintained. We had very quiet nights and one wouldn't know there is a business district just over the hillside, which was beautifully forested. We would definitely stay here again.

Roads were narrow and steep to haul in a long camper. The pool and check in desk are awkwardly located in a nearby hotel. The main road is VERY steep with a sign no large trucks.

We apologize that you had trouble arriving at our KOA. Our rolling hills of west virginia are beautiful but we understand they can be a hassle to get up sometimes. We will look at options of making our signage better to inform campers of inclines.

Campground was clean and well-maintained. The concrete pads were nice however the significant grade on which to unhitch or hitch up the 26-foot travel trailer. Also, the campground was just a spot for the trailer with basic amenities. Other KOA campgrounds within our same drive time in other directions offers more events for the campers like movies or social events.

Thank you for the comment. We are a KOA journey and mostly one day stayers, but we will try and see what we can do to offer a more unique experience in our KOA by looking at creating events and movie times. Again we really appreciate the suggestion and hope to hear more.

Awesome as always. The park and facilities were always clean and the staff was friendly. Usually stay at this facility 3 to 4 times a year.

Visit again: Yes. For “Mature” RVers: Yes. Felt safe: very! Site condition: nice. Spacing: lots between sites Views: grounds well maintained, walking the property is a pleasure. 45ft motorhome +toad. Easy, friendly check in. Road in to site area was easy to maneuver. No problems at our site. Would go back if in the area.

Nice and quiet. Easy in and out. Not much to do in flatwoods unless you like fiesta ware. We bought a bunch for our daughter.

Very clean and well maintained KOA. Not many amenities at the actual campground. The pools are located at the top of the hill at the Days Inn. The pool is very small. There is a lot to do in the surrounding are. Hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, etc. Several lakes, rivers and trails in a :30 radius.

The staff in the hotel were very polite and easy to work with. They didn't seem to come around every day and take the trash but you hung it from a pole so no animals could bother it.

Nice view but nothing really for kids. Playground was pretty embarrassing, and had to walk a mile or drive to swim since the pool was at the hotel. Map shows a baseball field, so you assume you can play ball, but it is the schools field so it is misleading.

Beautiful sight we had and number one and peaceful. We had our granddaughter with us though and not close to the pool or playground. But really enjoyed staying there because of the Peace.

Sites are nicely spaced with several areas for different tastes incl. shady or not. You get the amenities of the Days Hotel and a convenient location. Unfortunately, some of the office staff are downright rude and unhelpful, and most sites are not level so plan on using plenty of blocks/leveling pads. Not sure if I would stay again due to poor customer service & lack of family friendly amenities.

Ok, I've stayed at a lot of KOA's over the years and it seems to me that I've just seen them go down hill. Disappointed that my site was so narrow to back into. Found trash on the ground from the previous campers. Found dog poop in the gravel of my site, just barely didn't run it over. Wish it was all better.

Being that is was a KOA I was disappointment there was no store and you had to find your camp site by yourself. The roads were extremely narrow and poorly maintained. Not kid friendly. Seemed like they took your money and didn’t care about you.

The site was terrible. We are really good at setting up our motorhome. It took us an hour and half to get it level. At first the front tires were off the ground by a foot. We kept moving forward backward over to different sides just trying to be able to get it level and not off the ground. The grass was about 6” high.. 4th of July weekend no less. Rotted picnic table. And no personal to help.

Very steep roads to our Rv site and the same when leaving. Power was problematic on arrival , but the staff handled it right away. Good overnight, but not more than a day. Nothing to do there or in town
