From I-45 take Exit I45 to 61st Street. Turn right at 61st Street then turn right at Seawall Blvd. We are located 15 miles from the end of the Seawall. Look for large blue "Isla del Sol" water tower. We are located 1 mile on the right. From Hwy. 288 take Exit 288 to 332. Follow 332 until it ends and then turn left onto 257/Bluewater Highway. Follow 257 and cross the Galveston Toll Bridge. Galveston Island KOA Holiday will be 3 miles on the left.

The 2026/2027 Winter Texan season is almost here, and we are looking forward to welcoming returning friends and first-time guests to Galveston Island KOA Holiday. With a coastal setting, year-round campground amenities, a full calendar of activities and a highly requested improvement for our long-term guests, winter is a wonderful time to settle in, connect with fellow campers and enjoy life on Galveston Island.
While exact dates and activity schedules are still being finalized, many guest favorites are expected to return for the upcoming season. Here is a preview of the social gatherings, celebrations, games and activities Winter Texans can look forward to during their stay.
We have heard from our long-term guests that a protected gathering space would make the winter experience even better. This season, we are enclosing our pavilion for the winter, creating a more comfortable place to gather away from the wind and cooler weather.
The enclosed pavilion will give guests a dedicated space for social gatherings, games, classes and special events throughout the season. We are especially excited to welcome back Winter Texans who have been waiting for this addition and to offer our entire long-term community another place to spend time together.
Winter Texan season is about more than escaping colder weather. It is also a chance to meet new people, reconnect with longtime camping friends and become part of the campground community.
Live Music: Enjoy performances from local musicians and spend an evening listening, dancing and relaxing with friends.
Happy Hour: Gather with fellow guests for refreshing beverages and easy conversation.

Between scheduled activities, guests can enjoy the campground's heated pool and lazy river, hot tub, private catch-and-release fishing pond, pickleball and basketball courts, cornhole, KampK9® dog park and easy beach access. Upgraded campground Wi-Fi also makes it easier to keep in touch with family, stream entertainment or work remotely during a longer stay.
