We stayed overnight while passing through. Upon arrival the campground is small, but adequate & easy to navigate. That said, it is right next to a major highway & you hear traffic all night long. You will definitely need something to drown out the noise at night. The bathrooms left something to be desired compared to other KOAs. Might be an adequate place for an overnight trip,but not much longer

Ok for overnight. Staff very friendly and easy in and out. Sites are tight and if you are in a big rig it is a little tough to manage parking for toad.

Very nice clean campground. Only stayed overnight but would go again because the staff was so helpful and friendly :)

Gravel sites, not all level and tables on a hill, good location for local historical sites. Noise from I-40 was bearable. Checking in was fast and very friendly.

This is a nice campground, nice staff. It’s convenient to the interstate, but the down side is it’s very noisy as it sits right next to the highway. It was tolerable for one night.

We stay here for overnight stops. It's easy access, very clean, and our site (59 amp higher prices one) was perfect for our needs. The little dog run is secure, which is often not the case. The wooded area in the back where we were was a buffer. We will return.

Nice enough campground as far as size and condition of sites. People are nice enough. This is our fourth stay here over the past 4 years. Each year the prices go up but this year took a big jump, about to the max of what we will pay. Also the store could stock more useful items.

Well maintained KOA, friendly staff, pool was perfect! The highway noise pleasantly drowns out any neighbor noise and creates a peaceful stay. Thanks for your hospitality and a great journey!

I would not stay there again except maybe as a quick overnight stop while in route to destination. The grounds are cramped to the degree that our fire pit and bench was right adjacent to our camping neighbor. The pool is a miniature and I didn't see anyone using it. There was no cable. My camper was so camped in with others we could not enjoy sitting outside. Interstate traffic sounds all night

Yes Richard it certainly is busy during the peak of summer. There will be other Rv's in the campground. We do offer portable firepits free of charge. Most hotel pools are 20x40 ours is 25x45 so not exactly Miniature. Our awesome Wi-Fi streams so no need for cable. Happy travels to you.

A little misleading. The pool is not closed. We do close it for safety reasons when there is lightning in the area. It appears you were here when tropical storm Elsa was passing through. If you want to swim with lightning find someplace that doesn't care about safety of their guests.

One over night with a 45 Motor Home and a tow. Tim at the desk was very nice and the gentleman that took us to our site was helpful getting into the site.

I wasn't in the park much, I was visiting with friends in Greensboro. It was a clean park and the employees where there to help if needed.

Noisy. Sites not level. Charged 25.00 early check in and spent the 2 hours trying to level my unit.

Check in times are noted on the website, confirmation notice, reservation reminder. You have been given check in time 3 times prior to arrival we discourage arrival prior to 2pm. but if you are so special rules don't apply you can pay for the privilege. We need time to get guest ready between guests

The staff is friendly and as a Journey campground it was sufficient for our one night with a clean and level site, pool, and strong wifi. However, the rate for the night was expensive for the lack of amenities and services. One night in this campground cost as much as one night in a Resort campground we had visited two weeks before, and more than a Holiday in a tourist town the week before.

The camp personal we’re very friendly and knowledgeable. They were Great. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. The campgrounds are very close to the road so we heard a lot of road noise all night long.

Always neat and clean. The staff is outstanding. Power, water and sewer always work. Very nice—if small—pool and pool area. Store is small, but has a nice assortment of offerings. Proximity to Greensboro is great.

Staff was excellent, facilities clean. My nephew enjoyed the pool. Sites provide no privacy. Campground is within sight (and sound!) of I-40. It was adequate for my one night stay but it is not a destination campground.

You may be interested to know about KOA brands. https://koa.com/brands/ Journey campgrounds are located near highways for the convenience of those passing through the area. Sounds like you may try a Holiday or Resort park for a destination park. Safe Trvels to you

Easy in and out of the KOA host very friendly need extra blocks to get level front wheels completely off the ground.

It is a nice and quiet campground. I wish it was a little more level and I had better TV reception but the Wi-Fi was great.

Nice friendly staff, very helpful. Grounds kept clean. It's close to the highway, but most "Journeys" are. Most all sites are level and have plenty of room. Their WiFi is 5G and the best I've ever come across in any campground!... We will definitely stay here again on our way back thru!

Very clean, staff was very friendly! We will definitely stay here again! UPDATE: we have stayed here several times, the last time we were coming in after the office closed. I received a phone call from the manager with all the instructions on check-in. Thank you

Super nice couple at check in, gave us a goody bag with waters and snacks, led us to our site on a golf cart and guided us to pull thru our new RV and super welcoming. Site was level and large enough for our triple slides, awning and 40 ft RV. We were tall so they avoided one row that has overhead electric lines a little low, and warned us before selecting a site. Check in at 2 and checkout at 11 , easy to book online. The interstate noise was not that bad at all. Clean and easy to find and get to from interstate. We did an Uber to a symphony event in town, it was only 10 min away and the uber had no problem finding us and literally pulled up to our site and showed up within 15 min of ordering. Great option for RV drivers without a car to easily get into the city for events or dinners out. They have propane too. Will definitely return for any weekend events in the city.
