Very happy with this campground. Got in late but the folks there were very friendly and helpful getting me set up. Pretty campground, lots of trees, spacious set up. I had to leave the next morning, so our stay was short and sweet. The parking spot was very good sized (plenty of room for my Class C and my C-Max); it was not level, but close enough i didn't bother doing anything about it.

On the one hand this is a very nice RV park with wonderful staff. Lots of trees and pretty good sites for the most part. On the other had it is right next to I40 and noisy. We were able to snag a site pretty far from the interstate so we were happy. Very good walking too.

No mention of Interstate 40 being right next to the campground, lots of noise. The bathrooms do not meet ADA standards as prescribe by law. The hostess was very rude when I first went into the office to check in, but became friendly the next day. Will not stay at this campground nor recommend it to anyone.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Mr. Black our state has requirements due to covid we must adhere to in order to stay open. Not wanting to wear a mask indoors is not a handicap nor is there any alterations we can make to the restroom for you so you don't need to wear a mask while indoors.

Beautiful place to stay. Clean, quiet and trees everywhere. The staff is so friendly and caring, best people I have ever dealt with at an RV park and I travel all over.

Nice stop over on our way through. Very accommodating. Our original site was too short for us to leave or car hooked up. They moved us to a larger site that was perfect.

Nice campground. Starting to show its age though. Everything worked well. Only stayed overnight so I could make an appointment in Winston Salem the next day. Nice little gift bag on checking in. I didn’t use any of the facilities other than water, electric, & sewer, so I can’t comment on those. Friendly host too.

Excellent! Host so friendly and kind! Pulled off I/40 late in the day without reservations. Host welcomed us, gave us a gift bag with snacks and water and showed us to our site within minutes of our arrival. Thank you for your kindness!

1 night stay so didn't enjoy any amenities. Was grateful for the welcome gift. Great location to interstate but was very noisy. People very kind and helpful. Thank you.

Very nice staff, but my particular spot was so close to the freeway it was very loud. But I think the spots further back were fine. A very fine place for me to pull off for one night on my way through. Plus they have a very well stocked camp store.

The people are very nice at the office. However, the sites are awfully small. The big rigs are packed in like sardines. Very uncomfortable - the people next to us had their picnic table on top of our sewer connection. There was less than 10 ft between rigs and the door side opened to the sewer of the next site. We won't be visiting here again.

This was a great overnight stay. It is easy in and easy out. The lady that checked us in was very nice and friendly. Definitely would stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay. When there was a problem Mike himself came out and fixed it,and if he couldn’t he got the right people out there ASAP to get it done. All the staff are friendly and very helpful.

There was just to must road noise for us. I didn’t sleep much at all and I felt bad the next day. Everything else was perfect.

I was charged for a lot more electric than what was used and have tried to resolve multiple times and have been unsuccessful to get the manager to speak with me of staff to comprehend. I moved in June 18th 2020 and moved out September 20th 2020. I’m being charged for an extra 535 kilowatts that were not accurate. You can clarify the meter readings for the dates stated for lot 43

Mr. Clevenger you have received a full accounting of your billing and meter readings. We have been in communication. You emailed after hours on 20th was replied on 21st and again on 22nd. You omitted the dates of Sept 1-18 in your calculations.

very nice and directly off exit 224 on 85/40. only drawback is the sound of trucks /cars on the highway. Which was really no problem since you get use to it very quickly..like the sound of the surf at the ocean. nice stop and clean....good seafood restaurant at exit 220 just about 5 minutes away...called Roza's

While I understand measures are being taken for covid-19 And appreciate the effort; paying full price and then having no amenities, which is the reason for staying at a KOA vs another camp site is a little ridiculous. The staff was polite enough. Also my first Stay at a journey KOA= SO much noise polution.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The gravel sites could be better and more level. Cable would be nice but have stayed there several times and always enjoy my stay. Greensboro is my home and I use the campground each time I come up. Thanks

The welcome baggie was awesome!! The staff were amazing!! It was a great one night stay that was close to what we needed.

Nice friendly staff, very helpful. Grounds kept clean. It's close to the highway, but most "Journeys" are. Most all sites are level and have plenty of room. Their WiFi is 5G and the best I've ever come across in any campground!... We will definitely stay here again on our way back thru!

Very clean, staff was very friendly! We will definitely stay here again! UPDATE: we have stayed here several times, the last time we were coming in after the office closed. I received a phone call from the manager with all the instructions on check-in. Thank you

Super nice couple at check in, gave us a goody bag with waters and snacks, led us to our site on a golf cart and guided us to pull thru our new RV and super welcoming. Site was level and large enough for our triple slides, awning and 40 ft RV. We were tall so they avoided one row that has overhead electric lines a little low, and warned us before selecting a site. Check in at 2 and checkout at 11 , easy to book online. The interstate noise was not that bad at all. Clean and easy to find and get to from interstate. We did an Uber to a symphony event in town, it was only 10 min away and the uber had no problem finding us and literally pulled up to our site and showed up within 15 min of ordering. Great option for RV drivers without a car to easily get into the city for events or dinners out. They have propane too. Will definitely return for any weekend events in the city.
