Staying here is quiet (other than highway noise) Friendly folks both staff and guest. When I got to my site I questioned the staff member about the sewer hook up (looked as though it had over flowed) was told to use one of the other pipes (three at site). Unfortunately all three are linked and all three over flowed the next morning when I tried to dump to leave. No one to contact until after 10am

One of the most quaint, peaceful, and comfortable KOA’s we’ve visited. Water in the baths, which were very clean and private, was hot and plentiful. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Beside Interstate leaves something to be desired. Camp K9 should have sand on ground as Ground is very full of dirt.

The reception was friendly and professional. Registration and shop area clean and inviting. kOA offering all hook-up requirements as well as propane filling station. The campground itself is worn out. Gravel RV parking area is thin. The area between the parking areas is mostly dirt which would turn into mud requiring cleaning of hoses and cable. Great campground. Easy access for our big rig. Close to a major road, so there was a bit of noise, but nothing major. We would stay there again.

We received a warm welcome, propane fill at reasonable cost, nice gift bag with goodies. Older bathhouse but clean, close to interstate but we were not bothered by noise. Nice, restful stop.

The Greensboro KOA: Nicely laid out; clean; easy to find, quick check in; office staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay. Only issue: Traffic noise. We learned that the KOA was there long before the freeway and there isn’t much they can do about it. We recommend that you (or the state/county) put up a wall to block out that noise for better enjoyment. Otherwise, the KOA itself is nice.

Thank you for enjoying our campground and your kind words. we would love to have a sound wall in place however they are only placed in residential areas and campgrounds must be zoned commercial.

Two GREAT dog yards, sites were too close, good voltage, no cable but broadcast was digital, good internet, gravel roads but clean and well maintained, friendly staff

Exactly what we needed in a campground while traveling for a quick overnight stay. Convenient to interstate, easy to navigate and mostly level sites, super friendly staff, and fast wifi!

Nice location to be able to get on the freeways. The KOA needs to spend some money and put into place a freeway sound barrier rather then hand out earplugs. Other then that it is a nice KOA with pool and laundry with a small store.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for mentioning the convenience of campground to stop over in our area. We would like a sound wall but the cost is prohibitive. They are generally built on govt contract and extremely expensive. It would cost over $500,000. The state only puts in residential areas. Camps r zoned commercial

We stayed for one night, but the accommodations were excellent; the staff was courteous, the sites and bathrooms were clean.

Stayed in site 85, a gravel pull thru w/ full hook ups in 41 ft 5th wheel. Good power & water pressure. Sites were a bit close but not an issue. Highway noise wasn’t an issue. Convenient location on/off interstate. Park was clean and staff extremely courteous. We stayed 1 night as we traveled thru. Yes, I would stay here again.

We had spot 77. Right by the playground and dog park. I felt it was a perfect pull through spot. Only one trailer next to you other side no rv spot only nice trees.

Very nice campground. The management truly cares about the campers and the cleanliness of the campground. I strongly recommend the campground invest in dense noise blocking foliage, or invest in a noise-reducing wall to shield the campground from the intense sounds produced by the adjacent I-40.

Roads and lots not level and are a mixture of weeds and some gravel. Needs maintenance as sites were not maintained and being taken over by mounds of mushrooms. Sites are very tight no room to spend outside. Looks nothing like website photos. Masks are required in the bathrooms and office. Cabins looked like they had not been used in months. Cobwebs covering windows. We won't be back.

Nice friendly staff, very helpful. Grounds kept clean. It's close to the highway, but most "Journeys" are. Most all sites are level and have plenty of room. Their WiFi is 5G and the best I've ever come across in any campground!... We will definitely stay here again on our way back thru!

Super nice couple at check in, gave us a goody bag with waters and snacks, led us to our site on a golf cart and guided us to pull thru our new RV and super welcoming. Site was level and large enough for our triple slides, awning and 40 ft RV. We were tall so they avoided one row that has overhead electric lines a little low, and warned us before selecting a site. Check in at 2 and checkout at 11 , easy to book online. The interstate noise was not that bad at all. Clean and easy to find and get to from interstate. We did an Uber to a symphony event in town, it was only 10 min away and the uber had no problem finding us and literally pulled up to our site and showed up within 15 min of ordering. Great option for RV drivers without a car to easily get into the city for events or dinners out. They have propane too. Will definitely return for any weekend events in the city.
