Halifax West KOA Reviews

We stayed late in the camping season, so not much to do for adults except sitting out around a fire. KOA is more focused on entertaining kids with a games room, bike rentals and the bounce area. It would be nice if there was adult entertainment offered too, like bingo, karaoke or a poker walk. Pool was closed !

On the positive side, the campground is family friendly, lots of activities to keep kids busy. The site was clean and level. Unfortunately, due to the closeness of the campground to a busy road, it was very noisy at night when trying to sleep. There is also a stream/bog that ran behind our site (F section) that had garbage and dirty diapers and smelled terribly of sewer.

Nice locatet on a river but a lot of noise from the higheays. When the rain falls many „lakes“ on the campground. The boss is a very friendly guy.

Park is well maintained, friendly reception.

I really like the setup of this park. The staff is great, lots for kids to do and very clean and they are upgrading facilities. An excellent stop over for a night or a week or longer. It’s very treed in in parts, has a nice place for canoes and kayaks. We woke up to ducks sitting by our picnic table and asked them to join us.

Beautiful campground , amazing staff , clean facilities , stunning views , quiet for us adults and also great fun for the kids. Would highly recommend this campground to families and couples , will be recommending to my friends and family. Can’t wait to get back to try one of the cabins , they look so cozy and welcoming. By far the nicest campground in the area.

It was a short stay before we flew out , if it was longer the kids doing laps on the dirt bikes might be an issue

Le gestionnaire du camping est sympathique et dynamique. Les routes a l'intérieur sont un peu sinueuses et cela ne facilite pas les déplacements. Près de notre site il y avait une aire de travail pour certains employés du camping et c'était bruyant en fin de pm et jusqu'à plus de 17h. Le site près de la rivière est très jolie. Bien situé pour visiter la région.

Small sites for pull thru. Not as well maintained as other KOA’s. Dog park was unkept and not very big. Would not go back.

Fantastic staff, go above and beyond for you to make your stay the best possible in every way. They helped me driver safer and welded a sway bar system onto my trailer, adjuster the trailer chains to the right length, and helped me find my spot late at night when I was tired and just arrived. Even helped set the trailer and levelled it. Five stars for service and the place is beautiful!!

It was amazing, loved our location and the fact that each site was somewhat secluded. Loved the amenities and all the things to do. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing and entertaining at the same time. Always enjoy our stay there.

It was fun for the kids. The bathrooms could have been kept much cleaner. There was some noise (music) past 11 which did not settle down until the early hours of the morning. Security might have been able to deal with that better.

excellent time, weather came around before the weekend was over and excellent service from staff.

It was ok, I was told I’d have good wi-fi.. it was spotty at best. The sewer pipe was too high out of the ground to provide good tank drainage. The dumpster was stinking right beside us. There was a large group of people staying in trailers and cabins around us that kept walking through our site and had a dozen vehicles.
