As a family, we normally love to stay at KOA. However this stay was not the norm. Teenagers were permitted to roam around and cause some havoc. It was not enjoyable for my young son, to try to enjoy the bouncy pad when 30 teenagers wouldn't allow them to have fun. My thoughts from the past weekend. At halifax KOA.

The sites need to be bigger and more grassy lots,it's all gravel and not really kid friendly for them to play on.

We found the campground noisy due to its proximity to the highway. This could be heard everywhere in the campground. Some of the facilities were closed because of COVID restrictions so we had little experience to report on. Some of the water equipment needs upgrading.

We had a wonderful time! Friendly staff, clean facilities and lots to do for the kids! This was our first trip to KOA and we will definitely be back!

Always a good time at Halifax West KOA. The staff is friendly and great to deal with. The facilities are well kept and clean. We love paddling down the river and enjoying nature.

Cannot say enough about the owners and staff. We were moving to NS and not only did we quarantine for 14 days there (where we had a remote site and they even picked up our garbage and offered to get us anything we needed at the store) we stayed while waiting for our home purchase to close. We were there for 7 weeks. Clean facility, the pool was clean and well maintained. Great place

We got just what we wanted from our short stay. We were lucky with the total lack of bugs, and were able to see our grand kids enjoy the playground

Really loved the weekend, we hosted family and friends Saturday afternoon for a BBQ and card game. KOA staff were more than accommodating, allowing our function to happen and providing car passes. Loved all the facilities and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. It was nice to see children having fun. We enjoyed it so much that we are coming back in two weeks.

The campground was quiet and had alot to do for kids. Made a special request for the trees and it was done. there were 3 other women in my group and they were impressed with it. So much we will be back there next August.

We enjoyed the campground and will definitely stay again. Our biggest complaints are 1. The site we had was too small due to the large rocks we didn’t have room for our vehicle so we were unable to have a campfire at our site. ( we luckily had family camping with us so we could share their space. The staff was amazing even down to the young fellas that delivered our wood.

I think if you are going to only allow 15 people (using a sign up sheet) to use the pool, that should be manned by a staff member. Both times it was our time slot, we had booked for a max of 15, as we were 2 sites/ families, and both times there were more people from the previous slots in the pool refusing to get out. When we brought this to the staffs attn, we were told we had to kick them out...

Always a pleasure to stay here. The owner is awesome and staff always friendly and helpful. Love coming back to this campground.

The facilities available were great. So much fun for kids!! The grounds were littered though. Also surprised with the lack of trash sorting enforced, i.e. no compost bins. None the less, we do our part and looking forward to return again.

crowded but quiet in the evenings. Almost had an accident with children on the road with rental bike/carts. Perhaps there should be an area (track) that kids can do the speed demon thing on instead of the main road.

Second time at koa Halifax I love how beautiful it is ! And the rentals are great the place is very clean my one down fall this time was we there not told what was open and what wasn’t so we where kinda left in Imbo but that’s ok they are busy :)

Enjoyed a clean and comfortable weekend with three other families. Lots to do! Especially liked the younger staff in the golf carts driving around saying hi, talking to us and the dogs and hoping we had a great weekend! Nice personal touch. Will be back again!

Beautiful campsite where we were staying sites 39 and 41 , only problem is mice running around All day long made for a uncomfortable stay for some people ... overall it was good . Thanks

Beautiful campground, I particularly like the dump station that non campers can use for a fee.

You couldn't find a friendlier place, or a better group of service providers like Joe and the crew ( Family). Have been come here for years, and will continue to do so. Great times at KOA Halifax West. Thanks Joe.
