We had a great Easter weekend at KOA in Horse Cave. The campground is very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mammoth Cave National Park did not disappoint. We hiked many of the trails and enjoyed our visit.

Very friendly campground with a few fun free amenities. We were there Easter weekend and they even had Easter activities. Very close to fun excursions. Only downside is the noise of the interstate nearby but that did make getting on and off the road easier.

We enjoy your KOA. Friendly staff, close to home, clean facilities, and activities for kids. Looking forward to all your “new” projects.

It was a good stay, would recommend to a friend, close to Dinosaur World, Mammoth Cave, Stonehenge of Kentucky, Raven's Cross Haunted Village and Escape Rooms. The only drawback was the freeway noise.

We enjoyed our stay, the friendly staff, clean facilities and their investments in the future of the campground.

We enjoy the animals out our window. We go to Kentucky to bird watch and it is perfect area for that. Liked the improvements from last year. We will be back for sure. Our campsite 91 was great. Thank you. See you again.

They r renovating the campground....we were put in a site that was not level at all and a nightmare to get in and out of....have stayed there b4 and really enjoyed our stay....perhaps when they have their renovations complete we will return

We thought the campground was very well taken care of and lots of improvements going on. Hopefully there will be sewer hook-ups on the top row coming soon as the dump station was too tight for our exit with our large 5th wheel. We stay on our return from snowbird trip down south. Keep the improvements coming!

Pull thru site , not a true pull thru! Had campers with extra cars taking up more space should have! Same neighbor, brought dog over to our grass to go to bathroom! NO COVI PROTECTION IN OFFICE! BEEN IN 4 states and all we only letting 2 in office at a time and everyone was social distancing.. beautiful park!

My girls had a blast! We loved it! The jumping pillow was a huge hit. And Kamp K9 was perfect for my little dog. Wish we had a longer stay, we will be back!

We stayed two nights in an RV at Horse Cave with the family and dog. We were so happy with the amenities, the kids had a blast on the bouncy pillow, and loved seeing the barn animals, and the dog loved having a fenced in dog park to be free in. Everything was maintained well, and the showers were Amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again!

Extremely close to interstate. Heard semis all night. Had a spot across from playground which was nice but all the kids and parents would cut across our site. I even had a woman park her car at my site to take her kids to the swings. Construction was being done-nowhere on website was this indicated. Saws and hammering during the day. I left a day early.

A bit dicey in the beginning, the first site was one of the concrete pads but due to poor design it was nowhere near level, our coach leveling system couldn't adjust. The second site the sewage connection was below grade and clogged with mud and debris. They were able to get it sorted while we were out exploring. After that, it was a very pleasant stay to spite the weather.

The wagon itself was amazing and the bathhouse was beautiful! We would've appreciated directions for the heater; the night we stayed was in the 30's and it was hard to figure out how to turn and keep on the heater, so we were very cold. Lastly and sadly we were unable to enjoy the bounce pad and basketball features because COVID-19 guidelines were not being followed by employees or guests.

This was our first time staying out with our TT and we were pleased with most things at the camp ground. The biggest complaint was that they didn’t empty the large trash can near our site during our stay and it was all but overflowing. The site was perfect size for us and was a nice location for us within the campground.

Site was fine. Odd to have your site right up against the road. The dump station needs to be modified. 1) it's on a slope which is bad for draining tanks 2) the right side (leaving) which is the left side of the camper where all campers drain the sewer line is way too small to get a full size trailer into it as it's very narrow, my truck barely fit, and then it's banana shaped.

Very friendly staff and facility. Wish they had full hook ups, but was a great place to rest from I65 traffic.

Very nice, clean campground. My kids loved the jumping pillow too!

I have stayed in many KOAs. This is the cleanest, nicest, best equipped I have seen. No bathroom code. : ) Bathtubs in private bathrooms! Nice.

We stayed in one of the Conestoga wagons, and loved, loved, loved it!! So spacious and beautiful, with our own private patio and fire pit. The bathhouse was the best I have ever seen in a campground!!

So start with the good: All the staff was great, super nice. The mechanicals were fine, sewer water electric. Amenities were good. The bad: Traffic highway noise is disturbingly loud. Sitting outside the camper was so loywe couldn't enjoy our fire. Lack of restful sleep, due to Jake breaks all night. There needs to be a sound barrier. Need more big rig sites. We're 44' long and barely fit the pa

Came in and had a question mark to where our spot was when we can in at 10:30. Was woken at 2:30 and told to move so we did. Not sure what happened. Other than that things were great.

We loved the jumping pillow and staying in the covered wagon!!

Very new Very clean. Not sure I would call it a big rig friendly park. Very unusual lay out for camper parking.

We hit a bad weekend. I believe a pipe broke and there was no water. We were in a teardrop and couldn’t function without it and had to leave. We couldn’t cook, shower, use a bathroom. Before that happened we enjoyed the place and workers were very nice. Bathrooms were newly done and clean wish we could have used them longer.

people were friendly, only thing they did not have cable and only 2-4 stations and nothing national. After the rain behind our camper was just a little mud where we hooked up. But overall, loved the campground and going back in July

It was ok. The water was off most of our two night stay. Only one of the washer machines was working. It was difficult to find staff at the front desk. The bathrooms( when working) were really nice!

We stayed in a covered wagon for a couple of nights and had an amazing time! The wagons overlook a beautiful farm. The owners (VERY KIND) have thought of everything. Comfortable Adirondack chairs around the Firepit, great large gas grill and comfortable beds! The kids also loved the jump pad and novelty of the wagons. There is so much to do in the area we wished we had stayed longer!

The campground is beside the interstate--very noisy. The K9 area had trash outside the fence and the "dog waste" waste basket was overflowing. It did not look like it had been emptied in a very long time. The campground smelled of sewage. it appears they have a sewage problem. When I unhooked to leave, sewage water spewed up out of the ground until it was capped.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I apologize for the unpleasant stay. Our pump station had stopped pumping and we made a quick repair on it.

we stayed there off season, so not really had the opportunity to enjoy the place. It looks like a nice campground. The only thing that bothered me was the noice from the freeway. The campsite was near the freeway and it was very noisy.

Some spots are way to far from bath house!

This was the best KOA we ever stayed at, the bathrooms were private and clean!

No issues with this KOA.

The Horse Cave KOA is so beautiful. We stayed in one of the treehouses. There were only a couple cabins that were in use and maybe 5 campers. The Koa is very nice good for kids. We did have a tornado go through during our stay and it was scary since we were in a tree house. However, the treehouse was stunning and absolutely worth it. There are also covered wagons you can stay in. You are close to mammoth caves and a other fun activities. Small campground with a ton of charm. We will likely return.
