Ladies in office were very nice and helpful. Good location for access to Mammoth National cave, right off of highway 65. However, in a tent, it was very hard to tune out the truck noise in the middle of the night! Bathrooms were nice, however, water pressure was extremely low at 8 am when all ten bathrooms occupied.

Clean sites are level and full hookups. Only drawback was freeway noise but can't do anything about that. I would stay again.

Stopped on our way to Florida for the winter. Zeta was moving in snd we decided to stay an additional day. Very accommodating. Park is clean and very pretty. Staff very friendly.

The wagon was sooo precious, but the location (near the interstate was not the greatest due to being able to hear the interstate traffic from the wagon. Also, upon entering the room, the set up was nice however there was mozzarellas sticks left in the microwave and a melted drink laid over in the freezer. During the Covid 19, it made me wonder how well the rest of the room was cleaned. Cute wagon

We were there in June and it was pleasant enough we came back again in October for fall break. Awesome staff, clean fun establishment for kids and adults alike. Super job on the amazing bath house facility (not gonna find this at just any campground)! Halloween festivities were a blast for the kids. Looking forward to coming back next season.

It was a little difficult getting our 39' rig and tow-behind into its spot but other than that, it was fine!

We were blown away by how nice and updated the facilities were. The bathrooms and the laundry facility are gorgeous. The staff were very friendly also. We loved it there.

We had a great time at the campground. I liked the size, the staff, and the activities. The bathrooms were clean and the amenities were excellent! Excited to see what they come up with next year for the Halloween season!

Best bathroom ever. You get your own “suite” of shower, sink, & toilet. Staff was not friendly at all. The camp store is sparse, offering hardly anything. We stayed Friday, and left Monday. We asked for a late checkout Sunday, and we were advised the “computer” would automatically charge us a full day, so we stayed on, tho park was 90% empty next day, and they blew all the leaves on ou

Spotless, well kept and very accommodating! Great staff and the updates are super nice! Came here several times many years back and we loved it then. All the updates are fantastic! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this KOA! Thanks for another great stay!

The place is awesome with super nice people. The one thing I would recommend is that they fill in some of the low spots around the sites this leads to some fairl big drop offs when parking or leaving.

Great location, just don't go at night. Our tent site was not numbered, took 30 mins to just find it. No fire pit, which was fine due to the rain. We bought fire wood and ice, they dropped it off at the wrong location and no one told us.

The campground was very clean. I was impressed with the campground roads, camp office and playground. It’s obvious the owners are proud of their campground. The only draw back and for me it was a deal breaker was the freeway. Constant loud freeway noise. Semi trucks hitting the rumble strips and using their jake brakes. Too much for us. Very very clean campground. Too much noise for us

Absolutely Terrible!! I was lied to about the site, told it was level and it was far from level. This was our very first time to go camping. I am very inexperienced in this and should have never been given a site so dangerous. I issued a complaint to SONYA AND GET THIS SHE BLAMED ME, huh!! Wow! I can tell you one thing I will never ever stay at a KOA campground again!!!!!!!

I am sorry you had a bad experience. Upon booking your reservation, we had no full-hookups available; this was our Halloween weekend. Sorry, we do not allow tents to be set-up on RV sites. It would of been nice if you had stopped by the office, and we could have tried to relocate you in the park.

Very nice, clean campground with lots of room on the sites. The staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of things for kids to play on at the playgrounds, and loved the fenced in dog area. Also the convenience of the campground being close to Mammoth Cave and other fun attractions.

We had to leave the campground and return in order to dump. Our "campsite" was a pull off on a road that wouldn't allow us to put our awning out for fear a passing car might hit it. The dump station was on a hill, making it rather difficult to dump. This may be the worst KOA we've ever stayed in. We will not return.

Cabin 6 had so much fust on fan blades we didn't dare turn it on. The shower needs major cleaning of grout... moldy. The furniture covers need cleaning. The host was not personable at all... Very sub par.

The bathrooms were the nicest we had ever seen. The individual rooms for singles or families were new and well-maintained. This system was a nice plan for privacy and great for these covid days. Nice roads, level sites, great for bicycles.

Great clean place, easy on/off the highway. Our spot wasn't level, wheels ended up in air. Truck noise from highway was okay, but others may find it annoying.

Campground was clean. Restrooms very nice. Traffic noise from interstate made for unpleasant background noise/ disrupted sleep. Setting had many trees = nice. Maintenance ran loud leaf blowers for hours. Not a campground to relax in nature. Got impression management thought we should only be there at night. Not receptive to our complaints about ongoing noise. Offered refund. Didn't give.

Excellent park. Recommend addition of cable. New restrooms amazing. We are koa work campers, spent many hours at koas. This one is great.

Cabin 1, basic cabin, needs door fixed. Boarded window in back of the cabin for the air conditioner is understandable but ugly.

The cabin pictures and info given on confirmation email are definately not the same. The cabin should have some basic supplies furnished. the fridge door rubs against the wall when opening. The micro door won't open all way because rubs against fridge. The shower head is to close to wall. KOA staff is very nice and friendly and the place is very clean.

The best part about the Horse Cave KOA is the bathrooms--the cleanest, and most modern, bathrooms of any KOA that I've ever seen. The one negative is that many of the tent sites lack adequate flat ground for a level tent set-up.

My only comment is the noise. Our site was right on the freeway. I understand that these are full service sites but some thought should go into making more full service and larger sites on top of the hill. Not taking away anything from any other campers, I just feel that if you spend in excess of 100k on a camping unit they should have a better location at the KOA. We liked the location of KOA

We are sorry for the inconvenience. This KOA was established in 1969. The interstate was built in 1972. I understand the noise can be disturbing.

I booked this KOA, even after reading all the negative reviews; let me tell you that as of Oct 2020, this KOA is awesome! Newly asphalted roads, fresh packed gravel sites (with some newly concreted pads), FULL hookups (W/E/S) on 30 & 50 amp sites. The bath house was AMAZING. The kids play area is beautiful and well groomed and just awesome. We WILL be staying here again! Site 37 - 34’ Class-A

I loved that they had a bouncy pillow, a playground, and nice bathrooms. I did not like that the sites were sloped, that the camp ground ran out of wood, and that ether did not sell worms. We had to drive 12 miles to Walmart to find worms to go fishing. That was very disappointing. I thought that the staff were all friendly and I felt safe letting my kids ride their bikes.

Very enjoyable stay. I wish people would pick up after their pets better, but that is not your fault. But it might be helpful to have a couple of poop bag dispensers throughout the park for those who forget theirs. Love the farm animals, don’t card for the highway noise. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The Horse Cave KOA is so beautiful. We stayed in one of the treehouses. There were only a couple cabins that were in use and maybe 5 campers. The Koa is very nice good for kids. We did have a tornado go through during our stay and it was scary since we were in a tree house. However, the treehouse was stunning and absolutely worth it. There are also covered wagons you can stay in. You are close to mammoth caves and a other fun activities. Small campground with a ton of charm. We will likely return.
