Campground Reviews

We had a terrible time trying to level our rig. Also I went to the laundry facility to do 2 loads of wash but your employees were using all the machines & dryers to wash sheets & towels from the cabins. I told them that paying customers should have priority but they blew me off. By the time I got my two loads done, 5 hours had gone by. Another camper was extremely angry too.

Traffic noise unbearable although we know nothing can be done about it. We had to arrive later around 8pm. Campground extremely dark to be able to find our way to our site. A few road lights on till maybe 10 pm might help.

This is nothing against the campground. For some its very nice. Our only problem was the freeway right next to it. Very noisy all night, no rest. We like quiet time and space. We live in the country. We only stayed 1 day out of 4. The only other thing was no TV, Cable, Wifi was horrible. If you can live without those, great. We personally would not stay again. Staff was nice.

Folks were very friendly and the grounds are great. Right off the interstate and across from a truck stop so noisy with all the trucks.

Great visit!!! The staff was amazing!! The sunset might be the best I have ever seen!! The kids loved the covered wagon! Cleanest bathroom ever!

We stayed in covered wagon #1. We had a great time and the kids loved it. The only complaint would be that the gas grill was rather dirty. We have already told several family and friends about our stay. We will be back!

First time with our camper trailer, and first time at a KOA. Came to visit Mammoth Cave but spent more time time at the KOA enjoying the farm animals, the fishing pond, and play ground. Extremely family friendly! We can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay at this campground. Very nice staff and beautiful scenery. I did feel the cost was a little high for the night in the wagon but it was a fun experience. The only problem we saw was the putt putt golf course did need some work. Overall I would recommend this KOA.

Simple, clean, beautiful. Lots to do in campground and near by.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and while the housekeeper did not pay attention to detail we were quite comfortable and enjoyed our 4 day stay. This campground is clean and quiet. We enjoyed their farm animals and just relaxing in general. We have been here in the past with our camper and the sites are nice and level and the amenities are plentiful. Great campground for families or an overnight.

While they say they have internet access - they do not. We could connect to a 'service' but were never able to get on internet. The sites are on a hill side, difficult to get into and out of. The campground needs a lot of work. We did not use any of the amenities as we were there to go to Mammoth Caves. That was the advantage - it was convenient to the caves and other activities.

Close to everything we needed. The girl who checked us in was very helpful.

Very difficult to level motorhome. Had to change sites. Great shower facilities, nice clean older pool and friendly staff. Abit of road noise from I-65, not bad.

Although we couldn’t stay the entire time, what we did experience was absolutely a joy. The deluxe cabin was so cute and cozy. Only thing is we didn’t have a grill which is our mistake. Just a beautiful stay.

We really enjoyed the cabin. The only problem we had was that we like to sleep with our windows open, and the traffic from I65 was noisy. But other than that it was great. I bought an awesome T-shirt that says I pee outdoors, and I do.

Great place to stay friendly staff

Just overnight it is a unique place and very well maintained

Curb at our campsite was huge. Smoother transition would be better. Campsites facing away from neighbors and road would be more desired. Facilities were nice. More bathrooms located near middle of sites and bottom side near fishing pond towards I-65 would be a nice addition. Our sewer connection on #45 was too high, draining was not convenient. Lower nightly pricing for KOAs should be considered.

Hwy 65 is right on the edge of the park the noise is crazy awful too much traffic the park is beautiful but pick another camp spot

We stay at Horse Cave Koa several times during the summer. We had spot near the wagons with a beautiful view.

The bathroom/showers were amazing!! However the drop off behind our camper was pretty steep and was washing out. The gravel was loose and needed something to retain the gravel. We will be back but probably would request a different sight. Enjoyed all you have to offer for our grandchildren. Very clean campground.

perfect

Gave us a site that made us put the front of our small camper 3 ft in air. Saw lots of flatter sites empty. Never felt safe. After taking 20 min to pay for another level because an older woman stayed on phone so I forgot about asking for another spot. Was not going back to the office/store. WiFi was lousy. In and out all the time. Besides that it was a nice place.

for the most part, it was an acceptable stay.

Most amazing shower rooms we’ve ever been to! Fast wifi, clean grounds, beautiful views off the cabin/carriage rentals.

Awesome KOA! The bathrooms and showers were clean and spacious. The campground was conveniently nestled in rolling green hills. The conestoga wagons and treehouses are a fantastic idea. We highly recommend this KOA.

Clean Park, Immaculate bath and shower rooms. Miss Theresa checked us in she was AWESOME. She helped us for very much. Chickens, and Turkeys are fun to hear in the morning. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Restrooms & showers are the best I have ever been to at a campground. Everyone was very friendly.

My stay was very enjoyable and staff worked to make it possible. Site was a new lateral pull thru with concreate pad with a great view of valley below. Hope some tree's will go in son for future shade though as it was pretty sunny all day. Hats off to the facility for recent bathroom/shower upgrades, modern, beautiful and private! Beautiful and relaxing park which owners have taken pride in!!

The Horse Cave KOA is so beautiful. We stayed in one of the treehouses. There were only a couple cabins that were in use and maybe 5 campers. The Koa is very nice good for kids. We did have a tornado go through during our stay and it was scary since we were in a tree house. However, the treehouse was stunning and absolutely worth it. There are also covered wagons you can stay in. You are close to mammoth caves and a other fun activities. Small campground with a ton of charm. We will likely return.
