Campground Reviews

First time staying at a KOA campsite. Was very clean and meet with smile and friendly check in. We had a full hook up site. They brought your wood to you and also picked your trash up each morning. We did have a little trouble leveling the camper but got that worked out. Would recommend if they can put paved sites would be better. Would stay again and maybe check out the cabins or covered wagons.

need more full hook ups

Site #42 is the worst camp site I have ever seen. All gravel, steep slope, too small, dead tree with falling branches. Highway noise is ridiculous. Bathroom/showers are very nice. Tree house cabins and conestoga wagons look super fun

Love coming here to the covered wagons! The outlets on one side of the bed didn't work but otherwise everything was great as usual. Can't wait to save up and try the treehouses!

I highly recommend this campground. The staff is fantastic! The bath house and laundry room is kept very clean. I will definitely be going back and recommend this campsite to anyone traveling in the Mammoth Cave/Horse Cave Area. It is also only a 30 minute drive from the launch ramp at Lynn Camp Launch for the 300 Springs trip on the Green River and about 15 minutes from Big Buffalo Crossing.

We absolutely loved the treehouse and have already booked it again for next year!

Need to improve signage on entering the KOA and which sites are down which row. It is not clear wether one goes left or right at the main sign. Noticed many incoming campers going around 2x to find their row for their site. Need directional signage to indicate one-way. Need to fix drainage near site 45. There is a big hole in the lot being "Covered" by a picnic table. Staff was pleasant.

We had a wonderful time staying in the covered wagon. Loved having the patio, chairs, fire pit. Garbage Barrel was great to have. We loved the pool, jumping pad, and playground.

Dryers took forever to dry clothes. I looked behind the machines and the vent hoses were too long and bent closed occluding air flow. Maybe the vent was clogged also? Spent twice as much money as necessary to still end up with damp clothes. Did notify the office staff, but didn't do laundry again so I don't know if it was fixed.

I was there for a family reunion and purchased tent campsite 103 for two days. Other visitors ruined my time. When I was visiting local landmarks during the day, they moved my picnic table into their campsite and stacked all of their stuff on top of it. And burned my firewood. And they let their dog crap everywhere without cleaning up after them. The second night I slept in my car.

The facility was good and close to many attractions. The pool could be a bit warmer and cleaner at times.

As soon as we pulled into the camp it started to rain. We had a back in site that we were going to have to disconnect in the rain. I asked for a pull they and she offered one with just E/W pull thru. We took it! Service was excellent. This is a really pretty park. It has Wagons that you can sleep in and treehouses! They have all the stuff to do for kids. We would go again if in area.

We had Cabin #2, close to the playground, pool, dog park, and laundry. It was great. The air conditioning and TV are so helpful if you have little ones who need down time on a hot summer day. Oma watched Nickelodeon and ate Kid Cliff bars with the boys, AND puppies. Priceless! Staff was so helpful, told us to visit Dennison's Roadside Market, what a great place for melons and other produce!

We stayed here solely for the experience of staying in a covered wagon, otherwise would not have chosen this location. The wagon was beautiful and we had a great stay.

My family had a wonderful time. My daughter loved being able to pet the ponies and the horse, and we loved playing mini golf as a family. Awesome camp ground, and will be back for sure to check out Mammoth Cave again.

The covered wagon was a great experience! So unique, cozy and clean. Would 10/10 recommend it for a fun weekend getaway!

Awesome shower area. Extra large for families with young children and all included personal toilets and sinks. Laundry offered 24/7, just wish it had a coin machine to access after office hours

Disappointed with this stay. I had a dog with me and put on an all gravel site. These places need more grass areas. K9 area was nice . Showers rooms were great. Could not dump on the hill when we left. Not a good visit for me.

The facilities are great all except the full service sites on bottom where we stayed, not enough shade, grate on campfire spot would be nice and more steps should be built to get up the hill from the full service spots on the bottom. The dog park was nice but no poop bags in the dispenser.

Noisy drunk campers. Many drop offs that are not noticeable till after you step off the pavement. Lighting is very poor

This place is super cute!! Has a different feel To it compared to other Koa we visited. Small but interesting setting with horses and farm animals and western theme options. The tree houses were super cool also! We would have liked to ride the horses! And really hoped they were a little better kept, groomed etc. Our kids LOVED THEM! The employees were really sweet and the campsite overall clean!

Loved the animals right outside the camper. But….the hills were a lot to walk up every time you wanted to go the pool, etc. Also the bathrooms could have been cleaned a little better.

The Horse Cave KOA is so beautiful. We stayed in one of the treehouses. There were only a couple cabins that were in use and maybe 5 campers. The Koa is very nice good for kids. We did have a tornado go through during our stay and it was scary since we were in a tree house. However, the treehouse was stunning and absolutely worth it. There are also covered wagons you can stay in. You are close to mammoth caves and a other fun activities. Small campground with a ton of charm. We will likely return.
