Site was not ready for a unit...curb along road was very high..gravel on other side was 3-4 inches lower than curb...water and electric are 60 feet plus...trees that were once beautiful have all been cut down...now truck noise makes sleep impossible...while trying to relax in the afternoon a worker with a tractor loaded was scraping tree saw parts up...unable to rest...will never go back...no sign

Absolutely loved the camp! My favorite was the lovely little pond and the farm animals. The dog area was perfect for our dog! She loved the obstacles. There was so much to do in the area as well without traveling too far!

Very well maintained. New shower house is very impressive. Individual rooms for bathing or showering. Amazingly nice. Still doing upgrades to the campground. The only thing is the new curbs they installed are a little high and need more gravel next to the curb. I scraped the bottom of my RV when backing into my site.

Distance to bathroom was pretty far away and up hill. Very nice bathrooms! Firewood was not dry so hard to get a good fire. Nice areas to walk you dogs was a plus. Close to Highway but we use a fan so noise was not terrible for us.

Absolutely loved this campground! It was extremely clean and the views of the farms in the background were beautiful. The bathrooms were spotless and there was even a bathtub in one of the bath stalls ! We definitely will be back again !

Pretty close to freeway, so not particularly quiet. Very rustic with lots of clean up & building going on in anticipation of their busy season I assume

The bathroom facilities were the best that I've used at a KOA. The noise from the highway was a bit loud at times, but the campground was wonderful though!

Well maintained with great views. The bathhouse was incredible- 10 showers with locking doors. Each shower room had a toilet and sink. Each shower was spotless. Conveniently close to Mammoth Cave National Park.

Nice campground conveniently located near several caves in the area, including mammoth. Very clean bathrooms and shower areas. The tree houses and covered wagons are a unique touch. We plan to stay here again.

This is a great place. Very well maintained. So much looks new. It would be wonderful in another location. Just too close to I-65 for me. Nothing they can do about that.

The camp host was excellent upon arrival. Although Horse Cave KOA has some renovations going on, it was very well hidden and not an “eye sore” at all This KOA has the cleanest bath house I have ever seen! Camp K9 had disposal bags and two separate play areas! I was excited. Although I didn’t stay in the covered wagons, their site are absolutely gorgeous with their view!

only draw back was couldn't use the dump station due slope . Small site but that is what you get in a tourist area

Nice park, but few full hook up drive thru. Different dump station on the way out of park. Looks like they are adding or upgrading in park. I would stop again if in area.

Our electricity did not work and it was too late when we found out. So my husband couldn't use his CPAP machine. Because it rained pretty hardy the next day, we decided not to stay another night as originally planned. Not much shade.

Campground is well maintained & campers were very respectful of each other/pretty much kept to themselves. Lots of reviews mentioned the highway traffic (campground is literally on the side of the highway) but it fades into background noise at night. Jumping pillow was a plus with the kids. Only downside is lots vary pretty widely from each other but staff was happy to let us switch spots.

Our site had a brand new concrete pad. Nice except it was so unlovely we could not level our RV. ??? Why wasn’t the pad put in at least close to level Showers were nice

We had a late check in and everything was ready for us, easy to find out site. Your new bathrooms get 10 stars from me!

0.2 miles from the highway is not my idea of camping. We stayed one night and did not get any sleep. I have a video to listen to.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am sorry you are rating us low due to something that we can not control.The campground was EST. in 1969 the interstate was brought in in 1972.

As a koa work kamper I must say Theresa was awesome. Just a couple of minor suggestions. Restrooms could gave used an evening refreshing, and how about walkie talkies for staff. We needed help hooking up and Theresa could not reach Cody to give us a hand. But overall, an excellent campground. We'll be back. Highly recommend.

Very friendly campground with a few fun free amenities. We were there Easter weekend and they even had Easter activities. Very close to fun excursions. Only downside is the noise of the interstate nearby but that did make getting on and off the road easier.

It was a good stay, would recommend to a friend, close to Dinosaur World, Mammoth Cave, Stonehenge of Kentucky, Raven's Cross Haunted Village and Escape Rooms. The only drawback was the freeway noise.

We enjoy the animals out our window. We go to Kentucky to bird watch and it is perfect area for that. Liked the improvements from last year. We will be back for sure. Our campsite 91 was great. Thank you. See you again.

They r renovating the campground....we were put in a site that was not level at all and a nightmare to get in and out of....have stayed there b4 and really enjoyed our stay....perhaps when they have their renovations complete we will return

We thought the campground was very well taken care of and lots of improvements going on. Hopefully there will be sewer hook-ups on the top row coming soon as the dump station was too tight for our exit with our large 5th wheel. We stay on our return from snowbird trip down south. Keep the improvements coming!

Pull thru site , not a true pull thru! Had campers with extra cars taking up more space should have! Same neighbor, brought dog over to our grass to go to bathroom! NO COVI PROTECTION IN OFFICE! BEEN IN 4 states and all we only letting 2 in office at a time and everyone was social distancing.. beautiful park!

The Horse Cave KOA is so beautiful. We stayed in one of the treehouses. There were only a couple cabins that were in use and maybe 5 campers. The Koa is very nice good for kids. We did have a tornado go through during our stay and it was scary since we were in a tree house. However, the treehouse was stunning and absolutely worth it. There are also covered wagons you can stay in. You are close to mammoth caves and a other fun activities. Small campground with a ton of charm. We will likely return.
