A delightful couple owns and runs this campground. It is relatively quiet right now due to the US/Canadian border being closed, however, it is a lovely campground. I could see the work and improvements being done. The owners accepted a couple of suggestions (better lighting over the shower and sinks in the bathroom) well and stated they welcomed any suggestions.

We had a great stay! The owners are friendly, helpful, and very accommodating! Would definitely recommend staying at this facility to anyone! Looking forward to our next visit!

We had an amazing stay everything was very clean and quiet and the owners are so accommodating and very sweet people they treated us like they had always known us. Such a relaxing weekend so much so we have already booked to go back for this weekend which will be 4th of July weekend. This is about a 21/2 hour drive one way for us hauling our camper so we definitely enjoyed it to be going back.

New owners Dave and Michelle were awesome hosts and went well beyond our expectations to ensure our experience at Houlton KOA was excellent. This is the best Journey KOA we’ve ever stayed at! Meticulously clean campground! We stayed in a 40’ Motorhome.

Beautiful grounds and camping spaces. Quiet and accommodating. Nice dog walking and play area. Well maintained nature trails. Convenient to Canada. Hopefully the new owners will be able to enlarge the bathrooms to create larger showers and upgrade the laundry facilities (beyond the two each old washers and dryers.)

Dave and Michelle are very attentive to the property and to Rvers needs. These 4 days were just what we were looking for - a nice clean place w/o much noise! We are planning to come back next year as a few day stopping point before heading thru Canada.

Extremely well kept. Clean and fresh facilities, no odd smells and an absolute joy for rest and relaxation. I will be returning to this KOA campground. The owners are extremely friendly and very squared away. I absolutely love the paved walkways and road ways. Came home with a clean camper.

Clean bathroom and shower. Very large site! Wonderful camp hosts. But the electric unit at our site that was fixed to quite a wobbly post was not in operation. Found a few cigarette butts at our site and we don’t smoke. Wish folks would not litter them. And the mosquitoes were relentless - welcome to Maine! Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Clean bathrooms and shower are a must here. The tent site you payed for was a basic tent site with no water or electric. I believe the post you are referring to was by the road and not on your tent site. Next time let us know if there is a problem so we can address it - we want happy campers!

we had a great time there and yes we will be going back. we already have reservations for over the 4th of July. They are awesome people and are very friendly. They love to have peoples ideas and make you feel so welcomed.

We stayed for 7 days and loved this place! The camp ground is beautiful and the owners are wonderful! Bathrooms are clean and up to date and the other campers treated it with respect and cleaned up after themselves… this is a must to know if you are one of the many new campers out there! “Leave no trace”. Fire wood was nice and dry and the price was right considering you get more here.

Site was on a hill. Had to use all my blocks to level the RV.

I am so sorry you were not happy with your over 100' pull thru site. I would have been happy to have moved you to a different site had I known you didn't think the site was level. Always good to let the campground owner know if you are not satisfied so changes can be made. We want happy campers.

Onwers were really great people, very friendly, helpful and hardworking. Campground was clean and well maintained. Our dog loved the little dog park and nature trail. We would stay again.

David and Michelle make it a real joy to stay at their campground. From the time you arrive to the time you leave these folks bend over backwards for you. Exception host!!!

Awesome stay! Only downside is the mosquitoes, but hey it’s northern Maine in spring! Easy in and out place. Close to town center.

We had a wonderful stay at this Campground. We had 3 RV,s in our group on side by side lots Owners very nice and friendly, The lots are very wide/ level. The grounds are a nice combination of very well maintained grass areas with very nice trees. There are 3-4 ponds on site (fishing & swimming). I feel it was like parking on a golf course fairway the lot was so well maintained. Going back again!

One of the very best and enjoyable campgrounds I’ve ever stayed in. The sites are very large, grassy with water/elec/sewer and meticulously manicured grounds. Michelle and David Barnard are the consummate hosts, even though this if their first outing in campgrounds. Now that the Canada border its on the verge of opening, I believe they will be inundated with campers. It was very busy when I was

Love the friendliness of all the campers. Very clean. Grounds immaculate. Sitting outside around the fire we were able to receive full WiFi; however, when we went inside trailer, we couldn’t get reception. Maybe it was due to the camper being metal? Idk but we will be back!

We are so glad our hometown peeps stayed with us. Maybe next time you won't be freezing from the ATV riding. LOL In the process of getting more WiFi receivers throughout the campground so better reception is coming :)

This campground has the most lush, large, clean, level sites. We enjoyed having a pull through "buddy" site, which extended our combined outdoor space. The dog park was very clean. The owners gave personal service. It is a wonderful place and I hope to return.
