Great night sleep, very nice campground

Park was damaged in spring floods. Park reopened with limited facilities. Super friendly owners have finally received insurance settlement and will be repairing this winter (weather permitting). Park is confidently located for east/west transit on I-90. We only spent 1 night on a Sunday, so we did not go into town (pop 284). We will stop again next time through.

One night stay on our way to Clarinda, Iowa. Park still cleaning up after flooding in March.... lots of flying insects. Could not recommend this park for extended stay but satisfactory for overnight stay.

This KOA is definitely not on my list of favorites, although it was OK for a 1 night stay. The grass was long and the facility just looked like it was not well kept up. The gravel roads and sites had lots of bigger rocks that made it somewhat hard to walk on. But the sites were nicely sized and the staff seemed very nice and helpful.

Fine for an overnight, but that's about it. Given the nightly rate, we weren't expecting a high-end resort, but certainly something more to KOA standards. The dog park was overgrown and buggy; lawns were patchy and uneven. KOA store shuttered; check-in handled in a KOA Kabin. But! We were welcomed warmly and escorted to our site, which was plenty long and comfortable for one night.

Grounds are uneven rock as are the sites. Grounds are not maintained. Weeds everywhere. Although space was said to have cable, there was no cable. Bathrooms looked clean but very dated, Toilet seats are old, mirrors are placed so I can’t use them. Showers are stalls so you can visit with your neighbor if you want. WIFI worked well, though.

Your comments about the grounds are somewhat accurate, our flooding this year left portions of the grounds unmow-able. These areas are closed to customers and will be repaired as soon as the ground will accept heavy machinery. To clarify, we do not have cable, nor do we advertise that we do. If you saw something that says we do, you must have been looking at old information.

The ground was very soft and stabilizers sank into the dirt Obviously they had a flood earlier in the year and are getting things back into shape Good luck, nice people run it

We very much enjoyed our quick overnight stay at this campground. The campground hosts were extremely friendly and we enjoyed our conversation with them. The site was good and one of the few campgrounds where the internet was usuable. They are trying hard to recover from the flood and we wish the best for them. They have a long road ahead of them.

The staff are really friendly. If you have an RV or travel trailer, this a good o ernight stop. The campground was flooded earlier in 2019 so the pool is not open, nor the laundry room. We were given a discount because of this. I'm glad I stayed here because they need the money for repairs. Small river borders the property so I assume they could not get floodl insurance.

We made reservations online. On arrival we were welcomed warmly and provided with a schedule of fun community activities including pizza night, an ice cream social, and a kiddie train ride. The pool was sparkling clean, site level and dog park spacious. Highly recommended!

Nice small park. Due to circumstances beyond their control, the park is starting over from scratch. Hopefully insurance comes thru so they can carry on.

Pool out of service. Damaged buildings, Temporary registration in what looked like a KOA Kamping Cabin. Campground needs work.

The camp was close to I-90 that was a plus. I know they had a problem with flooding was told when I made reservation. The site was okay, had water, sewer, 50amp service. Cable was good. My biggest problem was mosquitos. Was the first camp I could not sit out at night and walking the dog was miserable. There was a lot of standing water which probably made mosquitos worse. Hope they fix this.

It is true, our laundry was taken out by the spring flood, a fact you were made aware of when you made the reservation. You also received a discounted rate due to our lack of amenities.

The only cable company in the area went out of business last summer. I have verified that the 2019 KOA directory does not show us as having cable. Perhaps you are looking at an older version of the book? Updated versions are available at any KOA campground.

Owner is very nice and has faced numerous problems with the flooding. KOA needs to assist in the reconstruction of the facilities and park area.

We only stayed for one night, but the park was nice, clean, taken care of. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Glad they are up and running after the flood. We were happy to have a place to stay, but I think the rate could have been reduced since the lack of some facilities or at least informed when I made our reservations.

Just to set the record straight, we have been running on reduced rates since our reopening. We have been telling folks of our lack of amenities before making a reservation. I am sorry if you were not informed.

It's difficult to give an accurate rate. I'm sure this KOA was - and will be again - a very nice park. It was severely damaged in the flood in May 2019 and is in the process of being restored. Much of the park is still muddy and the pool, laundry room, kitchen and general store are closed. The folks there are great. I'd stay again once it's back to normal.

Stayed one night. Very convenient to the interstate. We realize they were flooded early summer, but the grounds are still very ruff. Should not open until they are ready. charged too much for being in such poor condition.

Kennebec KOA was hit by flooding earlier this year, but the campground has been restored and is nicer than several other campgrounds we have stayed. Pool, Chuckwagon restaurant, and main building are still being restored but campground and services (electric, water and sewer) are up and running. Very nice campground!

they only opened a few weeks ago after being closed for a few weeks due to disastrous flooding in the region in early summer. Campsites were adequate and serviced. Staff were great and friendly. showers were clean and hot. KOA could support their franchises better after disasters happen though. Definitely would stay there again.

I gave the Park high ratings because they are dealing with devastating circumstances. Due to a recent flood which they lost all but one cabin (which they are using as their office) and the main office had 6’ of water. The grounds are very nice and the owners are doing their best to get it back in shape. As of now they don’t have much to offer except the basics. KOA members should Patronize the

Easy to get into off of the Interstate , and very well marked. It was a very quiet Campground no road noise. The owners are good people the kind of people that will treat you like you treat them. We have a 45 foot fifth wheel , just stayed for the night the Lot was so level we did not have to unhook.. this is a great Campground in a great location also has a pool and a nice river behind it.

This campground is still suffering the effects of the recent floods. It should be closed until it’s cleaned up and more habitable. I’m new to camping. If this had been the first KOA campground I wouldn’t have tried another. Luckily I’ve stayed at many and therefore consider this stay an outlier.

This KOA experienced a flood recently and they are bouncing back. Wonderful host! We stopped for one night and it certainly met our needs.

While the staff member I spoke to was super friendly and helpful and the bathrooms were clean the pool area looked liked something out of a horror film. We just needed a hookup for the night and we’re on our way early the next day, if your looking for anything more - this is not the KOA for you!

Yes, the pools were damaged by the spring floods we experienced. They are closed and locked up as we work to repair them. You were also made aware that the discounted price you received was in recognition of the temporary lack of amenities.

Very nice owners...turning to recover from flooding...pool & kids pool no available...needs cleaning Unfortunately a lot of mess, lack of mowing, weeds. Feel sad for owners However we did stay with no price reduction ?

I am sorry these items made your stay with us so unpleasant. Comments about the availability of the pool are true, the RV park IS mowed, though areas closed to customers are not. The statement of "no price reduction" is simply not true, you received a 10% off in addition to your value card discount and were upgraded to a full hookup site to make up for some of our temporary shortcomings.

the bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen! the pool looked lovely too. It was a very nice quiet area. The had had an unusually bad rain storm so the roads were a bit rough. i

They were very accommodating when our truck broke down- & was being repaired at the local mechanic. Being that we didn't know how long it would take, they held our spot - & were overall very sweet to our family.

Great little koa..the family that runs it were great and its a nice small simple campground. .there was bad flood yrs ago but it is amazing how they have brought it back....only one cabin is left after flood and for now tents have to use area by RV rather then old tent camp area, but bathrooms nice and clean and close to small cafes and diner in area....not much else in area and the office is not like big KOAs with mini store, so they only have few basic snacks,etc...but we would stay again..
