This is the most run down KOA I have ever seen. The screen on the cabin door ripped. Cabin was dirty . Toilet didn't flush handle broken, hand dryer broken , dog run 2 ft high grass. Falling apart tile in bathroom. This is NOT what we expect from KOA !! Will never stay here again

I have (Louis) or Julie and I have stayed at the Montpelier KOA on 4 previous occasions going back to 2005. The campground has, in the past, been well kept. To be polite, I could say that the Montpelier KOA is now "rustic". A more apt description would be unkempt and run-down. There is much to be fixed. The price that I paid is the primary reason for the 4 stars and a rating of 7.

This was the worst KOA we have ever been in. As others have stated, kids playing music with bass so loud, weeds 2 ft high, dog park you couldn’t get into because of the weeds, trees so overgrown you scratched your rig, pool locked so you had to ask to get in. And they charged a premium fee....NEVER AGAIN.

NOT big rig friendly. Got a 30-amp site... not sure if there even was 50-amp. Could not run even one a/c without tripping breaker. We had unplugged everything in house to run one appliance. Grass a weeds deep. Dog leashes tangled around weeds by patio. RVs pulled into sites in both directions giving no privacy. Junk on property. NOT KOA quality. Also, highest price for site my entire trip

This KOA has much potential, but there is much work to be done to get it up to its potential. The older gentleman who appears to be running the place by himself was kind and very helpful.

We had one of the best campsites in the campground, #26, a deluxe site next to the creek, with water and electric hookups. The campsite was nice, with a concrete patio and sufficient room. We enjoyed the walking trail across the creek. Unfortunately, the campground is not very inviting, with several junked cars scattered around the property. Our fire ring and grill had trash in them.

Needs to be taken better care of. Too many kids working on junk cars and “thumping” the base. Very annoying and I think to pay money to stay at a KOA and have to listen to that.

quiet & relaxing country site. That is likely going to change with summer travel. The tranquility and dog runs were great. Campground seemed to be older, with gravel sites, but no problems with utilities. Staff were friendly & helpful. Although we had GPS navigation, we don't recall seeing a KOA sign in Montpelier directing one to the camp.

The laundry did not work without the owner having to manually start the machine. There was not a code for the bath house. There were people working on vehicles in one area of the campground. It was very run down. We will not stay at the campground again.

The grass had not been cut in weeks. The internet was down unless you were within 100 feet of the office. There were a dozen teenagers on the west part of the property, in front of the hosts domain, working on multiple cars, playing loud music, and cursing loudly. Unfortunately, the playground area is right next to where all this is happening. We do not expect these kinds of things from a KOA!

the camp sites were dirty .the firepits still had stuff from the last stay also the charcoal station was not clean on property there were broken-down vehicles all over property also weeds in playground it might have been that it was off season but still koa standards need to be upheld hosts were very friendly.

Stayed in the west portion near the river. Quiet, clean... there are some folks with the ajecent land that have wrecked vehicle scattered around.

Trees too close to pull-thrus, scratched our paint. No cable and no over the air signal. Wi-Fi worked to check 2 emails then vanished from available networks. The spot we were in was level and gravel.

We really liked our stay. The campground was quiet, (no traffic noise), and had some great walking trails. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved our one night stay. We had the perfect site next to the stream and wooded area and enjoyed a campfire in the evening. The comments we've read about landscaping and upkeep seem so petty. You're camping for heaven's sake. If you want a resort, book with a resort. We were treated with respect and professionalism.

Very friendly staff and nice facility. The cabin was loaded with flies upon my arrival which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, the cabin was perfect.

We were very satisfied. We are tenters and there were no other tenters there, so it was quiet and private. Bathrooms, pool, laundry area well maintained. Seems like a nice place for RVs as well. This property is off the beaten path, which is what it's value is. It's value is the fact that it is for those looking to get away from suburbia….But with all the amenities for “getting away” comfortably.

Pulled in late and slept in the car so it was short but they had a nice little store, wifi worked, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was great, the nice guy behind the desk walked us around and let us pick out our spot, he also gave information about the surrounding area.
