This is a very basic campground, BUT, if you book a site on the river it is very nice. We stayed two nights. Not much to do in the area, but it was very relaxing. The short walk around the river was very nice, with thick vegetation around it. I liked the place, but remember it is a very basic journey location.

do to covid we may have just stayed at the wrong time. stay was pleasant and grounds were well kept. not a lot for families to do...no bike rentals, wagon rides, movie night, etc. especially appreciated the larger than life tent site we were assigned in the RV area. it was extrememly noisy with lights, music and drinking from late arrival RV. do they have extra priviledges? owners were nice.

It was ridiculously overgrown with weeds. No live grass anywhere. Our site was the worst campsite we have ever been in. The grill thing was right in the middle of the site making placement of chairs and anything else very awkward. The next sites sewer was right there in our site so we could see their poop going into the sewer drain. The bathrooms were unclean and nasty. Pool was the grossest pool

We visited this KOA 5 years ago and it seems to have “ gone down hill” since then, we are sorry to say.

Disappointing. Grill and fire pit full of ash. 20-somethings working on car up on Jack across from entrance (owners?) Same people in loud pickup left late night and woke us only to return even later trying front door of main building )woke us again) and very loud. We won’t be back

The showers in the bathouse could have been better serviced. Overall the kampground is OK but could use some korporate resources to spiff it up a knotch. This was our second visit; the Host was pleasant and helpful at check in and during a later purchase.

The KOA is in a beautiful area and the people were very nice, but the office & store were unprofessional, unkept and had an unpleasant odor. First thing driving in you see teenagers working on vehicles; not very professional. The campsites and personal residence were overrun with weeds, which was a big disappointment. Perhaps those teenagers would be better utilized in maintaining the property?

Understaffed, there was no WiFi, The facilities were un-kept and dirty. The location has potential and needs TLC but for the price we were very disappointed.

We were in town for a Softball tournament and it was great to be able to get away from the chaos and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The staff was every nice and welcoming. The camp site were a little bit over run with carpet weed, which is hard to get a handle on, I know. Wished I knew there was a lot of girls softball teams staying there, might of rerouted our trip. But would have to say at 10, they were quite.

Always a pleasure. My kiddos LOVE the pool table, ping pong table, basektball courts. The pool they also love but it is a tee bit full of bugs often. The bathrooms are ok for the most part. Nothing you can do about how much they are used. The shower heads in the showers do not have very much pressure and that makes it hard for gals with lots of hair. The camp was clean and enjoyable. Jim and Brenda were terrific hosts - kind, helpful and interesting. Montpelier KOA is off the beaten path, an excellent enticement for my family. Clean, beautiful setting, much to offer children of all ages. Highest recommendation! Thank you for a wonderful experience (will call early next year for choice site(s).

Loved the couple running it. They were so nice and easy to work with. This is a beautiful campground. Loved everything but a few weeds around.

Stayed here 5 or 6 years ago and remembered what a nice campground it was. Heading home from Denver and came via Montpelier so we could be off the interstate and have a nice break from crowded rv parks. Was not busy but sadly is not as well kept up as it was on our previous visit. Maybe a sign of the times. Wont divert this way again.

The place was dirty, weeds everywhere, grass was overgrown. Many sites were never cleaned the 4 days we stayed. Water pressure was very low. Half the rv items in the store were empty. It looked like the property was going out of business.

Great stay. Staff spent 1.5hrs helping me jump start my car after the battery died over night. Very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here when passing through the area

The best part of our stay were the host, Jim and Brenda, and clean 50amp power. Jim provided some very prudent information regarding our travel plans that proved extremely beneficial. The campground is an unkept over grown mess. The wifi was not functioning, and the water pressure was so low that our instant water heater would not come on. I had to switch to onboard water to shower.

No shade. Too many kids to think of getting in the pool. Showers need cleaned more than once a day. Sticker plants all over the ground. We had to dig them up.

We had a great time! First time staying in a KOA and it was fantastic. Loved the friendly atmosphere.

Friendly staff and clean bathroom facilities. Campground was overgrown with weeds. Terrible water pressure, but barely enough to take a shower. Because of the weeds and the water pressure, it is a bit expensive for what is there. It is just "OK".

Bones of KOA were good but lots of weeds and needs TLC.There was no cable tv, wifi was terrible, and low water pressure and yet the daily rate was just under $60. We had two trailers traveling together and had two sites facing each other with cement patios and did enjoy the larger sites.

Quiet campground with nice nature trail. However, grass needed mowing badly, the WiFi only worked at the office, only one dryer was working in the laundry, and the bbq grill at our site was full of ashes. Nice pool and recreation things for kids. Site was level with nice shade, electric was good, and close to town with groceries and things to do, but some museums were closed due to covid.

Exactly what we needed for our family road trip. Plenty of shade, plenty to do, great little creek runs through the front of the property, and it’s super quiet (aside from some road noise). Only down side is the dog park is out by the main road, pretty much outside of the camp, but still doable.

Lovely and friendly campground with lots to do including a beautiful nature trail. The roads and spots are a little tight for bigger rigs but the surroundings are beautiful!

We were very satisfied. We are tenters and there were no other tenters there, so it was quiet and private. Bathrooms, pool, laundry area well maintained. Seems like a nice place for RVs as well. This property is off the beaten path, which is what it's value is. It's value is the fact that it is for those looking to get away from suburbia….But with all the amenities for “getting away” comfortably.

Pulled in late and slept in the car so it was short but they had a nice little store, wifi worked, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was great, the nice guy behind the desk walked us around and let us pick out our spot, he also gave information about the surrounding area.
