From I-79S bound take Exit 155 (WV University) and turn right off the exit onto Chaplin Hill Rd. If I-79N bound take Exit 155 ( WV University) and turn left off the exit onto Chaplin Hill Rd. The campground is 1.6mi on the right. Take the 2nd lower entrance to Mylan Park and follow the directional signs to the KOA. Upon entering register at our lodge, look for the large KOA sign and American flag.

Cheat Lake is a 1,730-acre man-made reservoir located in the northern part of Monongalia County, about 15 miles east of Mylan Park KOA. Some areas of the lake are a perfect getaway with calm and shady waters where you can drop your anchor, turn on the radio, and crack open a cool drink. These areas are known by the locals as “the backwaters” and are the spots for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Other parts of the lake cater to more adventurous spirits.
