Over the prior month, we stayed at 6 KOA resorts. Our stay at Mt Shasta was complicated by an unexplained cancellation of our reservation. I had the original email confirmation, but was sent a cancellation notice and refund advice, with the wrong date of stay on it. When I called the office, they did not see my original reservation and had no record of us coming, when we were within 2 hours.

Stay was pretty good. IT was very cold, snowy, and peaceful - all things only God controls. The park itself was nice. A bit smaller than what we anticipated, and some of the amenities were in need of repairs (baseball hoop for example), but other than that, it was great. The fresh coffee was good, and the friendliness was fantastic. Overall, its a nice park that I would generally recommend.

We were only there for one night and it was a late arrival but when we got there and picked up our reservation it was for site 32 which had piles of gravel in it so we obviously couldn’t pull in so we just took site 33 instead. There were several trains making noise through the night which didn’t make for the best sleep. It was a nice enough setting.

Our reservation had no site number associated with it. We arrived at 10:00pm after a long trip, grabbed the “packet” which also had no site number on it. I called the after hours host, and I felt as if he thought it was my fault.

We stayed in February 2021. Our site was clean and open. The hook ups were fully functioning. The onsite bathrooms/showers were clean and hot. The employees were helpful when I called the after hours number. I loved that my daughter could play on the playground and it was safe for her. We hope to return again!

Woodsy, rustic campgrounds with beautiful tall evergreens. The patio pull throughs are huge with great concrete slabs for sitting around a fire. We enjoyed the train whistle and will definitely come back. Oh, the bathrooms/showers were as clean as can be. Impressive. Proximity to Mt Shasta Ski Park is great!

Except for the non-functioning cable TV hookup (would have been nice to be informed instead of trying to make it work thinking we were doing something wrong!) our stay was lovely. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and fellow "campers." Even the nearby train traffic was entertaining!! We'll be back!!!

I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the dump station. We didn’t get a full hookup site so we needed to use the dump site. However it was impossible to get our trailer close enough to dump and had to take it to another dump site and pay to dump. But the campsite was nice and quiet. Our pups liked the dog park

Very nice staff. Go slow in the driveway, it’s a little narrow in one spot. I drive a four door long bed, towing a 33 foot fifth wheel. Once in the KOA I didn’t have any problems maneuvering. I would stay again.

Roads to sites were not plowed although the private entry road was. We had to chain-up to get in and out of the park. The voltage at the site was 105VAC. This caused our surge protector to trip and not reset. I called at 5 pm on 1/24, to complain about power. No answer. I left a voicemail. I still have not received a response. The ranger number was not provided in my welcome package

Sorry you had this issue. On the front door as well as several other locations a after hour phone number was posted. As for the voice mail, I had a couple of voicemail, but couldn't make out half of the messages for the static. Sorry no one got back to you.

Nice that it is available during winter. Location was clean and staff were helpful. Also nice that it is close to town.

We had the patio spaces which are your nicest spots. There were no adirondack chairs for us as published. The sites are set up so far from the hook ups that we had to go buy extra sewer pipes & longer cable cords, which then become a tripping hazard in the dark, someone stepped on our sewer pipes, flattening it, and our cable cord broke. Not sure we'd do this again. WiFi was also very bad.

Yes, the chair were packed away for the winter as we have been getting snowed. If you asked we would of had them bought over for you. Sorry you had an issue with your lines not being long enough these sites are set up for all sizes from the huge class A down to the camper van stay in these sites

This was my first stay at a KOA since I was a kid. My normal haunts are much less developed/dense, but then again these aren't normal times. My wife and I both enjoyed our time and appreciated the opportunity to get away. The facility was clean and well maintained. When I pass through Shasta again I won't hesitate to make a reservation here.

Absolutely loved it!!! We will definitely be coming back to Mt. Shasta KOA and will look into stay at other KOA.

We absolutely loved our time at Mt Shasta City KOA! It is a beautiful campground, close to many amenities, yet you feel so far removed from the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean, and the campsites have plenty of room. We went in the winter and it is a short drive to Mt. Shasta ski park and several sledding hills for the kids. We can't wait to come back!

Good facility. Site 11 faucet had a partly broken turning part but worked well. Site didn't appear to be cleaned before arrival but all that was there: used sanitary glove and a pile of butts. Sewer worked well. Thanks to office lady who let us check out late so we could ski a bit longer on AM. Calls weren't returned until after stay. Convenient in and out. Convenient online check i

Beautiful park!!! A 'must' stay!!! The sites are nicely spread out. The park is well maintained and they have the best doggie park since our travels from Georgia. The trees are amazingly huge!!! The employees are outstanding. We will gladly come back perhaps spring this year. Thank you.

The view is amazing! The campground is clean. We stayed in December so it was nice that the restrooms were very clean and warm! We will defiantly stay again!

I checked in late at 6pm and theoffice was closed. I was however able to pull in and get set up at a camp ground bay, with full hookups. The weather was clear but there was icy snow and couldn't locate the sewer drain opening. Next day I left without checking in or out, but I did prepay for this one stop. If this campsite needs to record my stay, then my last name is "Brilliant"...

Hard to find. Dimly lit sign. Arrived at 8 to find site we we were assigned by note left for us at office already (apparently long) occcupied.. Calls to mgmt were unanswered/unreturned. Trash under picnic table of site we finally selected. Trash area at exit was a mess. Poorly maintained campground. Worst KOA ever!

The location and layout are great. The sites are not level. Not even close. The 50amp site was out 12" in both directions and not level throughout. I had to move sites and still relocate and use 4" blocks to get level. My levelers are now leaking probably due to over extension. As a Civil Engineer I understand grading & drainage. A little work with a tractor and the sites would be perfect.

Power at 50 amp was low and sometimes went out completely. And, if you are a big rig, BE ADVISED! Tight turns and THIN spaces. IF we were to have sat at our concrete picnic table, we would have been sitting UNDER our neighbors' slide on the far side! Road is from main road is very bumpy and THIN at one point, going between 2 tall trees.

Friendly Staff. They are continuing to improve the property which has a wonderful setting. When its all done it will be a dynamic park. Still worth a stay. We enjoyed the place.

The 4 star is because the staff were pleasant and helpful. I was a bit disappointed in the physical sites. Placement of tables were so close to neighboring water connections that hoses created a tripping hazard for that neighboring site. The dump station was also right next to the water faucet which again, was very close to the neighboring picnic table.

It was a beautiful site - well kept and close to the Mount Shasta sites. It is NOT right off the highway so tucked away and tranquil. We hope to come back in the summer and see it hoppin'!

We had no issues with our stay at the Mount Shasta City KOA. When we were about to check out , the battery of our RV went dead. We visited the office and they arranged for a jump within 5 minutes and we were on our merry way home! thank you for the wonderful service.

The grounds and site were pretty good. Manager was friendly and restrooms were clean and warm. Our neighbors were a bit difficult (a little noisy and they must have had wet wood because they had a nonstop and very smokey fire that they sometimes left unattended)

Small park but very friendly staff. Our 63 foot fifth wheel and truck had no problems. The ground was very wet from storms so we had to take care on corners. The view was unbelievable!! We will be back.

This was a great place to park our road home for three nights. Access to area sites and on the edge of town made it even better. Great staff.
