Peaceful, quiet campground with great owners & staff that are very helpful and friendly. Sites are shaded, nice, clean and there is a large dog park for furry friends. Close to Murphy and surrounding areas. We would definitely stay agaIn.

Everything about our stay was ideal, but I was SO impressed with the staff. They went out of their way to include my 6-yr-old daughter, speaking directly to her, putting on a light show for her at night. She felt so special and is already asking to return. THANK YOU!!

We have been staying at this campground for a long time. We have always enjoyed staying here. The improvements that have been made are really noticeable each year when you return. The staff is very helpful and nice. If you haven’t been there you need to give it a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

An older facility, but spot on clean and well maintained. It is a very quite and relaxed place. We have been here quite a few times in the past and just made reservations again today.

Stayed four nights tent camping with a mixed group of fisherman with tent, truck, cabin living arrangements. Hostess, Co-owners earnestly keep up the place in tip-top shape despite the challenges a nearby river sometimes poses. Looking forward to continuing improvements, thanks Jenny, Matt and Kat

Tent pads had washed away during a rainstorm the week before I arrived. The absence of a tent pad caused water to pool under my tent during a rain storm. All of my bedding got wet causing me to spend the next two nights in my car. The facility was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Owners/hosts were very accommodating. Even to the point of loaning our group an easy-up shelter when we discovered we had forgotten one. The campground was spotless in every way. I stayed in a cabin that was well appointed and very clean. Matt and Jenni were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this location again and will recommend it to anyone I know who plans to camp in Murphy.

I was there for a week and the staff and hosts are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and neat. The dog play yard is very large and well kept. One suggestion for the dog yard would be a water faucet for the pups to have a drink after a hard run! Great stay!

What a wonderful weekend we had Athens KOA! Such a beautiful campground with friendly service. Our cabin had everything we needed and firewood was delivered to our fire pit. We can’t wait to return.

Jenny and Kat were super nice and awesome people. The campground was really nice. Bathhouse was always clean. My tent site was right next to the stream and was really peaceful. I will be back for sure!!!

This is the best of the best. Whether you’re staying a couple of days or a couple of weeks, this is a great campground to enjoy when visiting this area.

The linins were excellent quality. The cabin was clean, and well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. The shower needs a hand rail and the bedroom and bathroom need some tables, and a luggage rack for the bedroom. The staff is very polite and the view from the cabin was great, overlooking the river. The screen door had a gap in the top, to let bugs in.

Stayed in the cabin for 5 nights by the river. I really enjoyed my stay! It was a beautiful area and well-maintained. The staff was amazing!

We had a great stay at this KOA - the host and staff were all very nice and helpful. The campground was super clean. The dog run area is very big, our pup loved it. Being right on the river is very nice, would be a great place to visit in the hot summer months. We plan to return.... Thanks Matt for a great visit.

This is the cleanest most well kept campground I have ever been in! Highly recommend getting a spot that backs to the river. Super great place to stay! Will definitely be back!

Once again we had an incredibly relaxing stay here. We’ve stayed several times and each time was perfect. The couple that stayed next to us were from Maryland and said that they liked this KOA so much that they made another reservation a year from know just to come back.

This is a beautiful campground. Matt and his staff are amazing people. I would highly recommend this KOA as a great place to stay. Next year will be our third time spending 9 nights there.

This KOA is a very nice place to stay very big dog park the sites were very clean and the staff was very helpful. I am putting this down as one of my favorite KOA. Will be coming back sooner than later I hope

Matt, Jenny & Cat did an outstanding job satisfying our needs & ensuring we have a wonderful stay. The grounds were very clean & you can see great care was given to prepare it for the upcoming season. I always see new upgrades on every visit.

We have been coming here for a few years. Matt the owner truly cares about his campground and it's evident in the amenities and the changes he makes from one visit to the next. Well the setting and ambiance are breathtaking and I can truly come here to relax and decompress.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. We had a spot right on the river which was absolutely gorgeous. Matt & Jenni were wonderful hosts and super friendly. Matt was constantly working picking up garbage, delivering propane tanks and firewood and taking care of the grounds. Campground is well taken care of; clean and beautiful. One of the best things about this campground to us was that their doggie area was over an acre of land. Most campgrounds either have a tiny little run or nothing at all. This was a huge fenced in piece of land where our dogs could run off leash and play. We stayed there during Thanksgiving. Matt & Jenni hosted Thanksgiving dinner for all the campers staying there during the holiday. They provided the turkeys, stuffing, gravy, sweet tea and paper products. Everyone who attended brought a dish to share. I made sweet potato casserole. It was such a wonderful time and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Great folks running the place. Patience, seemed to be their awesomeness! Pretty nice to great campsites. Nice set ups for power, water and cable. Looking forward to a trip back there.
