This is by far my favorite KOA. The crew here goes above and beyond to make your stay awesome. They truly give a special touch. The grounds are immaculate and the sites are great. We stayed at a cabin this time and it was fantastic. Thank you so much for this place!

Beautiful campground with lots of shade. We stayed in a deluxe camping cabin that had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Very clean, staff friendly and available. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin along the river. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The river was beautiful and felt so refreshing. It’s a family friendly environment with friends all around you. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. My son enjoyed fishing in the Valley River. My daughter explored the different river rocks. Very helpful staff and great prices on firewood.

The cabin was so clean and the scenery so beautiful! My son and I spent the afternoon tubing the river. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Can’t wait to return!

We stay every year over Memorial Day weekend for our family reunion in North Carolina and it's been a treat every time. The cabins are comfortable and clean, and the campground is always beautiful and pleasant. We love it, and have already reserved again for next year! The staff are pleasant and honest, and we've never had a bad experience.

We have camped at Peace Valley every Memorial Day weekend for 25 years. The staff is fantastic, friendly and the facilities are always well kept and clean. It is so highly recommendable, we have hosted our family reunions there for the last 18 years. The ONLY complaint that we ever have is that the WiFi service could be better, but that is the smallest inconvenience when camping.

Everything about our stay was ideal, but I was SO impressed with the staff. They went out of their way to include my 6-yr-old daughter, speaking directly to her, putting on a light show for her at night. She felt so special and is already asking to return. THANK YOU!!

Owners/hosts were very accommodating. Even to the point of loaning our group an easy-up shelter when we discovered we had forgotten one. The campground was spotless in every way. I stayed in a cabin that was well appointed and very clean. Matt and Jenni were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this location again and will recommend it to anyone I know who plans to camp in Murphy.

What a wonderful weekend we had Athens KOA! Such a beautiful campground with friendly service. Our cabin had everything we needed and firewood was delivered to our fire pit. We can’t wait to return.

The linins were excellent quality. The cabin was clean, and well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. The shower needs a hand rail and the bedroom and bathroom need some tables, and a luggage rack for the bedroom. The staff is very polite and the view from the cabin was great, overlooking the river. The screen door had a gap in the top, to let bugs in.

Stayed in the cabin for 5 nights by the river. I really enjoyed my stay! It was a beautiful area and well-maintained. The staff was amazing!

We brought our two dogs with us. The cabin was clean and well stocked and the safe was wonderful. We were only planning on staying the weekend. But ended up staying one more night because we loved it so much the kids where begging to stay again!

The cabin overlooking the river was nice. The pillows in the cabin were covered in black hairs, like a dog had laid on them. We had to purchase pillows since we could not use the ones in the cabin. The coffee pot basket was still dirty. We could not use the grill, it did not look like it had been cleaned. Staff was friendly and helpful. Road is flat and gravel. No central heat or air.

Great stay! Could use better knowledge of the checking out process. Dogs should be free, considering it’s an outdoorsy type of accommodation. But all in all, very peaceful trip!

The hosts were very nice and always willing to help in any way needed. The only thing kind of disappointing was the bathrooms were not available to use. Our groups had a lot of kids and it would have been nice to have them available so they aren’t in and out of the campers as much

Great stay . Cabin nice but needs a new futon in living area. The one that is there is VERY worn out. Hosts were very nice, helpful and easy to deal with. Have nothing to say but 5-stars........ Will be back when I get my RV for a stay......

Excellent location, setting, and personnel. Bed was uncomfortable, couch was uncomfortable, lighting in kitchen/TV area was poor, shower handle was loose, on/off feature of TV remote did not work. Sheets and pillowcases were obviously clean, no way to know about bedspreads since they were stuck in top of closet (concern with COVID), pillows themselves are old and stained, should be replaced.

I stayed in a one bedroom cabin with my dog. I found it to be clean and well equipped, and we really enjoyed the screened porch. I used to come here when I had an RV, and this was my first stay in a cabin. I'll be back.

We have been coming here for a few years. Matt the owner truly cares about his campground and it's evident in the amenities and the changes he makes from one visit to the next. Well the setting and ambiance are breathtaking and I can truly come here to relax and decompress.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. We had a spot right on the river which was absolutely gorgeous. Matt & Jenni were wonderful hosts and super friendly. Matt was constantly working picking up garbage, delivering propane tanks and firewood and taking care of the grounds. Campground is well taken care of; clean and beautiful. One of the best things about this campground to us was that their doggie area was over an acre of land. Most campgrounds either have a tiny little run or nothing at all. This was a huge fenced in piece of land where our dogs could run off leash and play. We stayed there during Thanksgiving. Matt & Jenni hosted Thanksgiving dinner for all the campers staying there during the holiday. They provided the turkeys, stuffing, gravy, sweet tea and paper products. Everyone who attended brought a dish to share. I made sweet potato casserole. It was such a wonderful time and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Great folks running the place. Patience, seemed to be their awesomeness! Pretty nice to great campsites. Nice set ups for power, water and cable. Looking forward to a trip back there.
