This koa is on the smaller side but has quite a bit to offer it's campers. If you have children or are partyers this is definitely the campground for you. If your looking for quite & relaxation...this is not the campground for you as the camp sites themselves are really right on top of each other with no privacy. Lot of kids and lots of noise. Will opt for private campgrounds in the future.

Love this place, but PLEASE cut back the branches on your narrow, pot hole filled roads ! Every time I stay here, my rig is gifted with a new scratch from this KOA. The pond setting and recreation areas are great, as is the office team. Not a short drive off the interstate, but the roads in are wide and easy to drive through town. One other note, don't try to check in at night...dark and spooky !

The Hudson River valley is beautiful and this KOA was clean quiet and well maintained.

The staff was great, friendly and helpful! The showers were less than appealing to utilize, issssh?! The cabin was nice, clean. Arrows for the drive direction and exits could be bigger. Loved the game room

My husband and I visited this KOA to have a fall foliage weekend before we winterize our RV. Unfortunately, we did not love this KOA. We have a 36 foot Renegade super C, and our site was in a large gravel parking lot. There were trees around the perimeter however, none in the gravel lot. Our outdoor space was right on top of our neighbors sewage disposal, ugh! We would not return!

I was very disappointed we camp there with my grandkids and during our stay first we experienced no water pressure then we went to purchase the pumpkin for the coloring contest and they had ran out of them then we went to sign up for the pumpkin contest and after waiting for our turn they tell us they had to cut it too many people we never to launch the pumpkin this was not a good experience

The campground was lovely, and the staff was helpful and courteous. We were looking forward to a relaxing week. We wanted to get away from national and local news especially politics. Unfortunately, there were large political signs,, at several sites. Which I found very offensive We were very distressed. This is not what we expected, we wanted a political free few days.

Perfect perfect weekend getaway!!!! The only negative is the showers are in DESPERATE need of replacement!!! See you next year.

No hot water for showers for 3 days. The Grill was a piece of Junk and unusable, fridge was dirty. Charged resort fee then charged us again for pumpkin seed planting

Was very disappointed that we were not able to participate in the pumpkin chunking due to the list being cut off early and the staff felt there were too many. We pay extra to be here for holiday events and feel that all sites should be able to participate.WiFi is constantly cutting out, system should be updated. No water is also a problem and staff just telling you there will be none, unexceptable

Overall a nice place. Carol is great, but I feel the activities are getting less each time we go. This is the third time we have stayed there where there is absolutely NO water on Sunday mornings. Every time we hear the same excuse “oh it’s being worked on”..

This is our second trip the KOA Newburgh. We went on a hike, walked over the Hudson, went to a winery and brewery. Great weekend away.

The programs for kids were wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I only wish they had more bathroom facilities as 1- there was not enough facilities or actual toilets in the one area that served most tenters and cabins and 2- if we had a spot further down the loop which most were, we would never make it lol

Staff was friendly. Site was satisfactory, however there were a couple of political flags on sites near us that made us uncomfortable. Corporate show make a rule that prohibits these displays because all it does is make for a unpleasant experience.

Reviews accurate re:noise level on weekends. 11:30pm Friday nite lots of noise. Otherwise, showers could use refurbishment. Did appreciate proximity to walkway across Hudson and bike trail. Friendly helpful staff

This was supposed to be a premium site, yet cable did not work, small site right next to cabin, couldn't open bedroom window fully without hitting a person or the car next door, bathrooms near us were old and dirty. The showers were also old and dirty and had silverfish running around them when I took a shower.

We never had a KOA experience before, if they are all managed like this, probably never again. We made our reservation months in advance for a week stay and we're given a site that appears to be an overflow area for late arrivals or transients - not appealing at all. Lots of noise on the weekend with no respect for fellow campers.

We only stayed overnight here. We did not use the facilities as we are a self contained RV. Our site was nice, cement patio. Ground was level. Grill at site was horrible, I don't think it was cleaned at all by anyone. Lots of trees, LOTS. Could not get out a satellite signal, south, DISH TV. Cable was out. We watched video movies. We would not stay again. That's just us.

We stayed 4 nights during a gorgeous fall week. The sight was shady and roomy and easy to back into and get out of with our little Minnie Winnie. And it's all about location. Although I think Newburgh is quite a hike to NYC, this campground is conveniently located near Hyde Park to the north and and Sleepy Hollow to the south. A great place to park your rig.

We stayed overnight in a motorhome. Site was a pull through and was adequate for our 40' rig with tow. Paid $45.80.

We had NO hot water for showers (plenty of hot water from the kitchen sink, however) the entire weekend!!!. The cabin was not clean, as was the fridge. The grill was a disgusting mess and could only reach a temp of 250 degrees. For the prices you charge everything should immaculate. The resort fee is also ridiculous then charging us a $5 fee for planting a pumpkin seed.

Campground overall was great, but we paid for cable which we didn’t get, and maintenance was aware that we’d just get snow. No refund was offered. On the other hand, as were leaving we realized a tail light was out. They allowed us to park in overflow parking while we ran to a store and replaced it.

Nice campground. Super friendly staff. Decently sized sites. beautiful in the fall with the changing colors of the leaves. My only complaint is that the wifi is pretty terrible and unreliable. The staff said it is on their list to improve and I hope they do so. This was our 2nd stay this year and we enjoyed it even more. It's a great campground to sightsee from!

The campground overall was nice. The only complaint I have is, the roads are not designed for a 41’ fifth wheel. I was on lot 114 there was a dumpster directly across the road and a huge tree on the right hand corner. The only way to get out of my “pull thru” lot was to back out. It was just too tight and because of that I won’t use this particular LOA again.

Sites are decent size but roads are very narrow and way too many trees to navigate bigger RVs.Had difficulty situating our RV so we could open our slides. Bathrooms wee dirty.Watched 2 RVs have to back their rig out of their pull thru site due to lack of road space & clearance. We were more fortunate. Kind of defeats requesting a pull thru.

Disappointed in this campground. Assigned site was basically a large gravel parking lot with artificial planters dividing the sites. Like being in a big dust bowl….would not stay here again. Front office staff was very nice though.

We were without a place for that night - luckily, this KOA was available. We had a nice lot, the staff was very pleasant, if we were a young family (which we ARE NOT), I would come back in a heart beat. So much fun to be had here - and it's just lovely.

I wish that there were more group activities to engage the families. Flag football or games like that. I remember capture the flag being played on one trip and all the families, both children and adults playing together. They need more of these communal type of family activities. I also wish that newburgh had more deluxes. I would come more often if I could get a deluxe like I can at other koas.

It was generally a nice facility (lots of trees), but we were there on a very crowded and noisy weekend. I was disappointed that half of the washers and dryers did not work. We are traveling so we depend on the laundry facilities at campgrounds to do our laundry. Also, I would recommend adding a playground that is appropriate for 2-5 years old.

Although I asked for a pull through site when I made reservations because we were 38’ towing, I was given a back in space twice. When we walked the campground, there were many pull through sites not used as of 9 pm. The young people at the front desk are not adequate to handle simple questions.

Sites pretty close together. Cable is poor, both reception and channel selections. Really detracts from the peaceful wooded park to be surrounded on all sides of your site with “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Trump” banners hanging on the sites (some with multiple banners). Store mostly empty. End of season sadness.

I have stayed here 3 times this year. 4th time will be Halloween weekend. I have two trips booked for next year. Very friendly place all campers and staff are very nice. It can get a little loud at times. However you can't have fun being quiet. I do not use the bathrooms so I can not comment on that.
