Only stayed 1 night but had a great time. Kids loved the pool and jacuzzi. We loved the pancake breakfast ( great pancake batter!!!). Thank You.

This was an excellent facility to stay at when traversing the Black Hills. Convenient to several locations. The facility is well run and the staff is available for any questions you might have. I would highly recommend it.

I booked a superior campsite in Feb. when I arrived in July I got a new site with no concrete patio or furniture. No grass. A little sod and lots of mud. The site looked at a work shed complete with old furniture, equipment and pallets. Very disappointed. I can’t believe there wasn’t a better accommodation than that.

I wish there was more space to completely rate both the good and not so good with this campground. Except for the entrance road nothing else is paved. It rained while we were there which created mud everywhere. Much of the grass is in poor shape due to little or no watering. This compounded the mud issue. Theres little to no shade. Facilities are old and outdated.

One of the worst KOAs we have ever stayed at in the past 9 years of RVing. The manager of this KOA is arrogant and rude. Moving sites during your stay you have to depart your site by 11 am and park in a “staging area” until you check in at 1 pm. There is a daily pet fee for each pet, something no other KOA charges. Save money and hassle and stay somewhere else. We will never return.

Bathrooms & showers are great! The new pool is beautiful but the campsites leave a lot to be desired. We weren’t there a lot as we used it for our base camp but sites are very small & fire rings are on top of the next camper & very muddy with any little rain. We had this ginormous electrical box that took up a lot of our site! We would look somewhere else if we ever come back.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Spearfish. The RV park was spread out and full. We had some room between us and our neighbor on our step side but not much room on our other side. Our water was just feet from their fire pit. The staff was busy all over the park which was nice to see.

We stayed just one night. Pulled in late and left early. The bathrooms/showers were very clean and staff were already on duty at 7am cleaning. Disappointed that there was an additional charge for having my dog there even though she was listed on the online KOA pre paid reservation.

7-8 sites near me and including me (site 187) are impossible to pull out with a large trailer because of trees you planted intentionally or have failed to remove. We all had to back up out of my pull-thru site. I plan ahead to get a pull thru site so I DONT have to worry about this. I was only able to pull out because others helped me and the sites behind me were unoccupied. Otherwise I couldn’t

All around nice campground. Nice level spots, clean pool area, clean bathrooms. Only complaint is the showers need updating and better doors in and out.

Nice campground friendly staff however we had reserved a premium site which became unavailable. They put us in a new area which will be nice in about a year grass was newly seeded and very muddy after a overnight rain and small patch of grass turf that was brown. Once the grass grows in and the mud is covered it probably will be a good site in the area we were and there is no shade as well.

We were in the area to get an Air Force family moved from OKC to Rapid City. The bathrooms and showers were clean and plentiful. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice from a distance. The breakfast was good.

It was a great experience starting with very friendly staff and easy check-in. We had a nice site and enjoyed the pancake breakfast. The park is well situated to allow travel to the many attractions in the area.

Its hard to rate this campground as it depends on your needs. To tour the area, it is convenient, clean, very nice staff, many amenities. If you want to relax and enjoy a campground for itself - this was a bit crowded with very few trees in the area where we were.

We enjoyed our stay but it was too short! The park is beautiful, employees wonderful & friendly. We had a nice big spot with a tree, lots of grass & space. We had a severe storm the night we were there, lots of lightening, thunder (shook the rig) & tons of rain. We weathered the storm & in the morning enjoyed the breakfast in the pavilion, which was very good.

I did not appreciate not being able to get a hold of anyone. No cell service. I also didn’t appreciate your prices! Your bathrooms were absolutely disgusting with mold on shower tile walls and the smell was horrendous. The beds were so uncomfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on the boards and the mattress wasn’t even there.

Great location but sights are super tight. Neighbors fire was within in five feet of our bedroom slide. Had to go outside to make sure the bottom of the slide wasn’t getting to hot. Staff is also really hardcore about checking in earlier. Had to stand in the office for 12 minutes until 1pm to check in.

This KOA had very good coffee at the office and offers a great variety of kid friendly attractions. As usual everyone was very friendly. We had to switch camping slots and the campground let us park the camper to the side before checkout and we picked it up after going to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer Park. Side-note: if your doing Custer Park you need to allow 4 hours!

Staff was fine. Pool was sweet. Camping in the city was just not our thing. Not many trees and it was loud (from nearby fireworks) every night. No stargazing here, plus constant hum of traffic and planes.

Enjoyed our stay here. The campground is spotless. They have a nice pool in the Summer, spotless bathrooms and showers, a game room and a laundry. But the best part was the people who own the place were some of the nicest people we met. I highly recommend this campground.
