The staff were very friendly . Campgrounds were closely monitored with golf carts doing regular rounds. Campstore was decent. Only wish we had a more private wooded site. At least we had one tree on ours. Some had no trees at all. If you have small children, the play area was very large with a huge jumpy blow up thing.

Grandchildren had a great time with activities. We have not been there in several years but see many improvements.

It was a very enjoyable stay.Jeff and Melanie are very awesome people. They go around and check on the campers and do a lot of fun activities with the children It was very relaxing stay. I would recommend this campground to anybody especially if you want the kids to be safe and want to relax . You can go to bed peacefully and not worry about being kept awake. They are kind,polite and respectful.

Just spent a couple of nights in a cabin at Skowhegan/Kennebec Valley KOA. Owners Jeff and Melanie Peterson were perfect hosts. A full rundown of the camp amenities was given up front and the level of hospitality, service, and their desire to please was excellent. If you are looking for a relaxing laid back place to stay with much to do, or to go out and explore central Maine, give them a try!

We stayed 4 nights in a 2 room cabin and had a GREAT time. Clean family friendly campground with lots to do.

Very clean, very green, quiet even though we were right by the playground/jump pad. Rules owners have in place make for an enjoyable campfire night. Wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night.

The facilities were very clean and the staff was certainly friendly. The overall campground rating is lower due to the appearance of the seasonal sites. Many of these were extremely junky with unused items and toys strewn all over. The seasonals near our site had many visitors and became noisy at night when partying. We didn’t feel as if it was our responsibility to call “security “.

Excellent welcome by staff and full information briefing. This KOA has a superior offering of walking trails around the perimeter of the park.

Loved the cabin. Would recommend that the pool have safety equipment available. And also that the office carry a first aid kit. As we were in need of one. Otherwise the koa was awesome.

We really enjoyed the area. Campsite was quiet and very clean. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Loved going up to Moosehead Lake and traveling around the area.

Nice & clean which means a lot to me. Had good 50 amp service, low water pressure, good cable. Pull through sites were nearly impossible to get on, very unlevel. Had to back out of site because it was impossible to drive through. Large trees kept me from being able to put awning out. Fire pit was under neighbors slide out. Couldn't use my outside entertainment or picnic table . Steep bank! out of

we had a very nice stay,everyone was extremely nice and very helpful with us setting up camper, campground is very neat and clean. Thanks again for a few nights stay,we will be back next year.

Had a great time. Friendly staff and a well- kept, up-to-date campground. The only suggestions that I would like to make is maybe there could be things at camp for adults, like a lounge. And maybe some friendly competitions for adults like horseshoe tournaments. Just some things for adults to do while there.

The park is nice and in a good setting. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Our biggest concern is that it is not as big-rig friendly as we’d hoped. Big-rig sites were tight and interior roads were narrow with multiple tight turns to negotiate coming and going.

Very disappointed. We stayed in i3. (On their map it looks like 13.) We were across from H2, H3 & H4, one huge compound of seasonal/full timers??? One fifth wheel & four tents. With many people. They had food on permanent shelves outside of there fifth wheel, toys everywhere & unsupervised toddles in diapers chasing our dog with a plastic baseball bat. Other sites are probably OK.

We are sorry you were unable to enjoy your 1 night stay with us as we were booked for the weekend. The campers across the way from you were also only here for the weekend. If you had issues we always tell our campers if we can do anything please let us know. We are sorry that you did not let us know so we could have handled it for you as we would have been happy to.

We had a relaxing quiet stay. Although sight seeing was a bit far, once we were done it was nice to come back to the quiet. I was originally going to book near Arcadia park once I got down there I’m glad I didn’t . Way to crowded and noisy. Thanks for the peace and quite and the great hospitality .

This place is a gem! It's in a beautiful location an easy drive from both Skowhegan and Palmyra. Dan, one of the seasonal workers (and his bird Josephine) was a lot of fun and full of information about things to see in the local area. The campground also has plenty of activities for kids.
