This is our summer home away from home anytime we get a chance to go camping. It’s well-maintained and always clean, and Mel and Jeff go out of their way to make us feel welcome!!

It was a very enjoyable stay.Jeff and Melanie are very awesome people. They go around and check on the campers and do a lot of fun activities with the children It was very relaxing stay. I would recommend this campground to anybody especially if you want the kids to be safe and want to relax . You can go to bed peacefully and not worry about being kept awake. They are kind,polite and respectful.

Just spent a couple of nights in a cabin at Skowhegan/Kennebec Valley KOA. Owners Jeff and Melanie Peterson were perfect hosts. A full rundown of the camp amenities was given up front and the level of hospitality, service, and their desire to please was excellent. If you are looking for a relaxing laid back place to stay with much to do, or to go out and explore central Maine, give them a try!

Very clean, very green, quiet even though we were right by the playground/jump pad. Rules owners have in place make for an enjoyable campfire night. Wish we could have stayed for more than 1 night.

Loved the cabin. Would recommend that the pool have safety equipment available. And also that the office carry a first aid kit. As we were in need of one. Otherwise the koa was awesome.

We really enjoyed the area. Campsite was quiet and very clean. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Loved going up to Moosehead Lake and traveling around the area.

Great facility and marvelous personnel. We were there for only 2 nights, but were made to feel like family right away. The cottage was very clean and comfortable.

My family loved the cabin that we stayed in and loved how quiet the campground was while we were there. The only downside for my kids was that the playground was just a set of swings. It looked like though that the playground was being worked on and there may be more added to it in the future. My kids though loved the pool and had a great time swimming.

We love staying at the KOA Skowhegan. Melanie and Jeff are always very helpful with coordinating our baseball team needs. The campground itself is always very clean and they have a lot of fun activities. We look forward to staying again.

Beautiful campground, very clean, only complaint, as is with most campgrounds is longer pool hours. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful, highly recommend this koa.

Absolutely adore owners Jeff & Melanie. Staff is extremely friendly & everyone goes out of their way to assist you. We enjoyed various activies. Our 5 year old literally had the time of her life. We look forward to visiting same week next year. We appreciate all Jeff, Melanie & the staff do.

Melanie & Jeff were the perfect hosts- Very friendly, efficient, thoughtful & just like family- better than family. They were very attentive to our needs as we are Grandparents watching a 2 year old & a 6 month old. Always there if we needed them. Yes, we would go back. The cottage was well stocked and very comfortable.

Nice kampground, although 1 room kabins are close to the highway - noisy and bright lights all night. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and well-maintained.

Melanie and her team were outstanding!! They were extremely helpful with our many questions and requests. The campground is clean and beautiful. One of the nicest KOA's we've been to. We will definitely go back again!!

Nice camp ground been going for years and hope to continue going in the future. Very clean and love the weekend breakfasts. The owners and staff are very friendly making the stay very enjoyable.

What a lovely kampground! We have stayed a many KOAs across the country and this one was one of the nicest. I wish we were able to stay longer!

This place is a gem! It's in a beautiful location an easy drive from both Skowhegan and Palmyra. Dan, one of the seasonal workers (and his bird Josephine) was a lot of fun and full of information about things to see in the local area. The campground also has plenty of activities for kids.
