Taking a 13-week contract or long-term work assignment near New Orleans usually comes down to two housing choices.....a cramped extended-stay hotel room or bringing your RV to a full-hookup park.
If you’re on the fence about where to set up camp, here is why living on your own wheels at wins every time!
Hotel walls are thin, and noisy corridors don't care that you just worked a 12-hour night shift. Bringing your own rig means sleeping in your own bed, surrounded by your own things, with no room service knocking at 9:00 AM.
Hotel pet fees add up fast, and walking a dog on a tiny patch of roadside grass gets old on day two. At Slidell KOA, you get your own outdoor patio space, green grass, and our fully fenced so your pets can actually run free.
Eating out for three months straight gets expensive and unhealthy. Having your RV kitchen - plus space outside for your own grill - means real home-cooked meals after a long shift.
Long-term travel requires hassle-free routines:
We accept your Amazon, UPS, and FedEx packages directly at the front office.
Clean, climate-controlled facilities steps from your rig.
Park your work truck or SUV directly at your site—no dark parking garages or hauling gear up elevators.
Extended-stay hotels charge premium nightly surcharges disguised as "discounted" rates. Our monthly RV rates give you full access to resort amenities, high-speed Wi-Fi, propane refills, and a quiet community of fellow travelers.
Have a colleague coming on contract too? Use our referral program to take $50 off your next month's rent!
We offer spacious, level, full-hookup sites designed specifically for extended stays on the Louisiana Northshore.
