From I-59 - I -10 S: Go South towards New Orleans. Merge onto I-10 W toward New Orleans. Take Exit 265 for US Highway 190 East (Fremaux Ave). Turn left on US Highway 190 East. After 3.1 miles, the campground entrance is on your right.

The Slidell KOA Journey is a quiet, serene, and family-friendly campground featuring full hookup RV sites and elevated tent sites. Nestled among mature oak and cypress trees and away from city traffic or highway noise, the campground offers spacious, private sites where guests can relax, recharge, and reconnect in nature. Located just 30 minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans, this campground provides convenient access to iconic Louisiana attractions like Cajun restaurants, the French Market, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, and a variety of local festivals and events.
“We built our KOA campground in Slidell to take advantage of the area's natural beauty and meet the growing demand for outdoor recreation,” said Vince Hayward, owner of the Slidell KOA Journey. “This location is the perfect spot for people to reconnect with nature while enjoying a comfortable, family-friendly environment. “We’re thrilled to begin Phase Two of our expansion this summer, which will bring even more amenities and events to enhance the guest experience,” said Gale York, co-owner of the campground. “This phase will include an educational element along our nature trails, an additional 120 RV sites, and cabin accommodations.”
