If you want to get some kicks on Route 66, you are in a good spot. We are located on an actual piece of the "Mother Road". The old bridge across the Mississippi is just down the street. You can no longer drive across that bridge, but you can walk or ride your bike. Oh, the memories it brings back for me. There was an amusement park on the other side of the river. On weekends, if I was good and did my chores, my dad might take me to that park. The trip across the bridge could be a little scary for me. There is a bend in the bridge. Seemed like every time we crossed that bridge, there would be a semi-truck coming the other direction, and we always crossed the pathway at that bend. I covered my face so I wouldn't see the crash.
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
