Campground Reviews

The lady that answered the phone seemed as if I was annoying her and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. When I checked in, it was the same attitude.. The site was okay, but the WiFi was useless. I was a stone's throw from the main office but still had to use my hotspot. The pool was being filled, so not available and laundry closed at 6pm. Very poorly run.

The lady who checked us was very rude. We stayed a week. The jumping pillow was deflated for most of the time. The sites are mostly grass with some gravel. The noise for the racetrack is deafening. The smell of diesel and noise from the truck repair shops is awful. This place is in the middle of an industrial park. The wifi is unusable. Worst koa we've stayed at.

Great place for overnight stop. Easy, friendly check in. Got led to long, level pull through site. Cute little k9 fenced in area

Nice little Campground with clean bathrooms

Quite a step down from any KOA we’ve stayed at in the past 10 years.

Office closed from 11-3: poor lighting in restroom hard to see when shaving. Showers pointed the wrong way. We checked in when office was closed no one came around to see how we were doing. The people were not friendly, all the KOA’s I have been at this is the worst review I have ever given.

Great stay

Sites at KOA Granite City are really tight, thank goodness the camp neighbor was real friendly, because as soon as we exited our camper we were right into his camp area. The community was a little gem among commercial trucking businesses, yet upkeep is needed for the grounds. While walking our dogs we found discarded tires, metal junk, old downed trees and bush debris.

Office hours were crazy. They didn’t have my name and paperwork in the box . Campground very small. But for one night it was ok

Perfect Journey location and very nice staff. We will be returning!

Trains and their whistles are charming during the day, but at night...

Ok for overnight stay. Just not a very welcoming place from sites to people. Could make some easy improvements by getting rid of some old picnic tables and trash. It is a good thing this is a KOA or they wouldn’t get any overnight traffic. Which probably would not bother them as 85% of sites are people who live there with all kinds of junk in their sites. Including a cabin and crappy mobile home

WONDERFUL!

I was given a great spot for an over night stay. It was very level and easy to get in.

The place was quiet and clean. Surprise showers are for people much taller than 5 feet! No, way to adjust it for short people and it hit me in the face with cold water. I am very hard of hearing the older women in the office was not very pleasant. Told me she would take care of my request later because there were people behind me. She did take care of my request after I left the window.

People at the desk were not friendly or helpful. Seemed afraid of the pandemic still, only place so far on the trip that was that way. We wore our masks at every KOA so far. Bathroom showers are a slip hazard. The mats are on the outside of the shower, should have some sort of mats on the inside. Would not be surprised if someone falls and hurts themselves. Look out lawsuit.

It’s a good stop over but to stay several days not very inviting. We have stayed here many times as a stop over and only once longer. It is not as well kept as most KOA’s and lots of noise.

Nice campground overall. Could use some work on the parks WIFI. Strong signal in camp, but kept loosing outside connection.

The staff was very rude and not willing to help. We wanted to do our laundry at 5pm and the lady up front replied with it closes at 6pm do basically don’t do your laundry. It is in an industrial location and all you hear is truckers and speeding cars. We will NEVER return to this KOA!!!!!! Waste of your money!!!

This KOA does not do credit to the brand. Entire facility had the appearance of inattention and disrepair. Site we were assigned was littered with tree and plant debris, small bits of refuse and was quite unappealing to spend the night. Older gentleman on staff was very nice and accommodating but the woman we spoke with later at the office was curt and unwelcoming....KOA, you can do better

Terrible reception!

Not in a good area, very unkept, no one at office to check in, overgrown weeds everywhere, rude office service. I would not stay here again, actually, left a day early

Check in was great and the person who met us directed us nicely to our campsite. The site was level and the hookups were good. The drive needed more gravel and there were low spots and mud because of the rain. The site was narrow, but for the price that was to be expected. The bathrooms were clean, but needed some work. The camp was quiet and there was easy access off the expressway.

Needs a lot of maintenance. Very disappointed not up to KOA standards for sure. Staff unfriendly.

This place provided what was promised but nothing more. Office has stated hours of 5 hours a day. Staff was not rude but not welcoming. The campers seemed to be c. Long term residents who worked in businesses near by. The actual campground is surrounded my industrial type business. I would never go back

Poor location in the middle of trucking yards. Disappointed in the lack of management interaction. Been on the road for 10 months and this is a campground I will not return to.

We just stopped in a RV for an overnight stay. Staff was friendly, location was a little different, in an industrial truck park, but campground was well kept and worked great for us. Not a bad place to stay if your are spending sight seeing time in St. Louis.

It's okay for a Journey overnight site. Wifi is there but if you want any speed at all you'd better use your own hotspot.

Host was sharp and rude, jump pillow wasn't up, laundry was closed at 4:30 in the afternoon, general stored no signs stating anything was closed and host wasn't even there for the hours posted

We arrived during very wet, snowy weather. A woman unlocked the office door and told us to wait outside next to the window. After realizing we were at the wrong window, we moved. We were made to stay outside, getting wet, during the entire registration process. We were never welcomed and felt as if we were inconveniencing the woman. The park was very pretty.

Thank you for your hospitality! Easy on and off I270 with lots to do in the area. We always enjoy your park!

Location was what we needed. Easy access to highway. Able to travel to site seeing during the day. This was our second or third visit.

Clean and friendly, easy parking, nice dog park, laundry facilities, easy after hours check-in, adorable rates. Needed a sewer extension hose and a coupler. They had what I needed in the store, and the supplies weren't too expensive. Beautiful, well maintained park. We had a great experience there. 🥰😎

Out of the way Journey. Nothing too fancy. Even tho it's located in an industrial area, you don't even notice. Great if you are visiting the area and need a home base.
